I've had this debate with people I know. I'm of the view we shouldn't censor yet appreciate this can be interpreted as I'm a racist bigot.

This particular scandal however is something I care about because of how corrupt the whole handling was. I appreciate that it may result in questioning and greater attention. I also agree with the person who said why now and not during Conservative government? I can't answer that.

Because refusing a national inquiry and saying Oldham council should carry out their own inquiry is fine? Considering most councils are pretty much bankrupt and some of the abusers themselves actually work for the local councils.

Why do I get the impression that if Phillips had gone for a second public enquiry, Musk would have turned around and asked why she was wasting time with another enquiry rather than taking action on the last one? Also, a disagreement over what sort of enquiry to have doesn't sound anywhere near as dramatic as "Jess Phillips covers up for rapists".
