I think anyone who accuses those critical of Musk of not caring about the abused girls is utterly reprehensible. To level that accusation at posters who believe Musk doesn't actually have highlighting the abuse as his primary motive is appalling.

Musk is trying to line himself up as some kind of master puppeteer overseeing global politics. He's got the money to get the influence.

No, because he is muddying the waters. I don't care if someone who cares about CSE is far to the right of me or far to the left of me - its possible for someone to have radically different political views and still care about this stuff. But Musk has been quite open about using Twitter to cause chaos/mischief/insult people/say untrue things. Its irritating when you are trying to talk about football and someone keeps derailing the convo by trying to cause fights/say shocking things etc for their amusement. Its much worse when its something really serious and someone is jumping around talking about "free X", "Put Y in prison", "election now", "I like Farage", "now I don't like Farage". Its about generating headlines and attention and the more time politicians (including ones I dislike like Farage) have to spend time answering questions about him, the less they have to be asked about grooming/putting the recommendations of the inquiry into practice. And any normal troll could be ignored, but because the UK needs to keep ties with the US and he is a big player in their politics UK politicians have to pay him attention.

Just because a person is happy that someone with international visibility has highlighted the child rape gangs who are still operating in the UK, it doesn’t mean that that person agrees with everything Musk says. Surely people understand this?

Yes there are aspects of Musk which aren’t desirable, some elements of what he does are very useful. An intelligent person looks at each separate aspect and is constantly weighing up the desirable and undesirable.

Its chaos for the sake of chaos. If that amuses him then fine, whatever. But its fucking awful to hijack a conversation around child rape to do it. Its like calling someone a pedo and then arguing it was "just a silly insult." I believe him, but he thinks its a funny insult because he doesn't care.
