Mine got me “what I asked for and more than the budget”… We don’t have a set budget that I’m aware of 😂 but if we did it would be more than that.

The good, the bad, the ugly. How did you do? I’d love to hear stories of spoilt mums 🙏🏻

He got me a watch and bangle, really lovely.
Some make up and hair bits, a book and a little crochet toy representing an inside joke we share.
Delighted.

JennyWren87 · 29/12/2024 23:38

Mine got me the tkmaxx voucher I wanted and we set a budget. He then went to buy me lots of lovely German Christmas treats at Aldi which was a lovely surprise. He also got me some novelty socks, photo albums and a bottle of Chablis.

Sausagenbacon · 29/12/2024 23:39

I suggested the names of 2 books I fancied.
He got those.
Luckily he's a good chap, because he's a terrible present buyer.

Tisfortired · 29/12/2024 23:40

Mine got me a lovely Lucy and Yak fleece, a couple of books I wanted and some cosy fluffy socks. Very happy!

A smart and glam navy leather laptop and document bag for my new job with two lovely charms representing my logos

Some cat shaped gold paperclips for fun

Some replenishments of spenny retinol creams I've found useful this year

And he bought and cooked Xmas dinner for the first time in 10 years after asking year after year I gave him the reigns and he did damn good 👍

I know! Should have let him at it sooner 😅

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/12/2024 23:42

Mine bought me a gold ring with diamonds and an aquamarine.

That's so romantic! Lucky you!

Didimum · 29/12/2024 23:44

A diamond solitaire necklace.

Musicofthespiers · 29/12/2024 23:46

Ear buds and a board game.

huuskymam · 29/12/2024 23:47

A Samsung galaxy tablet which was a big surprise, plus the usual chocolates, candles, pajamas. I had noticed it when Xmas shopping for the kids, must have spent too long at it, that he noticed I was interested 😂😂

Gorgeousfeet · 29/12/2024 23:47

His presence because he works abroad for most of the year … ( sounds cheesy but I don’t know anyone else who could cope with it… it’s very difficult )

He did get me some good stuff though .. gorgeous Pjs , my favourite perfume , candles etc

Barney16 · 29/12/2024 23:47

What I asked for and then a lovely extra present. Also did all the Christmas cleaning and put up with my mad family for three days with exceptionally good grace.

Sweetbeansandmochi · 29/12/2024 23:48

A scarf - nice but I had literally brought my own scarf a week before Christmas and he knew it.

A book that he got me two years ago. (sounds bad but he was trying to get me one I liked).

Perfume - very lovely

Then on Boxing Day I dropped in what I actually wanted into conversation casually- which was a mini holiday in Wales. And then I booked it the next day.

LadyPoison · 29/12/2024 23:48

Anticlastic and synclastic dies for making bracelet cuffs

Not very romantic but perfect!

colinthedogfromaccounts · 29/12/2024 23:48

A voucher for a day spa with three hours of treatments.

2 books

A new wardrobe - 4 dresses, 4 warm layers, 4 trousers, 2 jumpsuits, 5 tops, 4 pairs of shorts. All paired with a selection of accessories.

So much thought. Everything was perfectly sized and I honestly love every item.

Delighted.

A beautiful fleece, an Alexa for our bedroom (I’ve wanted one in there for ages), a set of side plates to match our fairly new dinner plates (Le Creuset so a fairly big present!), and a very fancy dressing gown - the hers version of one I’ve previously bought him. It sounds boring written down but I love it all!

RosesAndHellebores · 29/12/2024 23:51

Some bath stuff. And we agreed I'd buy myself something after Christmas. I bought a new work bag in the sale today. It was only £59.

To be fair, if I told him I wanted something really expensive he'd have bought it paid for it but I neither want nor need anything.

LisaD1 · 29/12/2024 23:51

Far too much as usual! He’s not a romantic but he always goes ottt for my birthday and Christmas.

he bought me a leaf blower that I’ve wanted for ages 😂,
perfume, smellies, a pandora necklace and earring set, a candle, and a long weekend away in one of my favourite places.

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 29/12/2024 23:52

Started with hiding a bottle of perfume in one of the kids Christmas stockings on the fireplace with and sending a picture of it when he had a night out with his pals saying "X marks the spot" then he sent me into our downstairs bathroom to get my pjs on after finishing work on Christmas Eve and there was a brand new pair hanging up for me to wear. I also had new Ugg slippers and fab boots on the day plus old copies of Shakespeare and vintage Mandy annual from the 80s which was perfect. He's a fantastic gift buyer.

KimberleyClark · 29/12/2024 23:54

doodleschnoodle · 29/12/2024 23:55
