Mine got me “what I asked for and more than the budget”… We don’t have a set budget that I’m aware of 😂 but if we did it would be more than that.

The good, the bad, the ugly. How did you do? I’d love to hear stories of spoilt mums 🙏🏻

A diamond ring from Monica Vinader, some ‘nonsense’ which are usually my favourite things:

A silly mug
A notebook
Animal print pens
A zebra print robe

The ring is lovely though and has a matching bangle I’m eyeing for my birthday.

Merryoldgoat · 30/12/2024 00:29

Mine also does all cooking and food prep for the big day plus our second Christmas with my siblings and their families.

curious79 · 30/12/2024 00:31

Some equipment for a hobby and a £2.5k voucher to a spa holiday - woo hoo!

TeaAndTattoos · 30/12/2024 00:31

Some Stitch stuff, nightmare before Christmas comfy socks, Grinch socks and a white chocolate Toblerone and a couple of stress balls once’s a highland cow and the other is a cat.

I got him a jumper, 2 t-shirts, pj bottoms, a couple of teddy’s, Deadpool Funko pop, Groot hot water bottle, microwaveable warmer, Captain America blanket.

Hskatkat · 30/12/2024 00:32

Mine also does the food, but went off piste with my main and made something I didn't like , there was plenty of other things to eat and he did offer to make it the next day

RamblinRosie · 30/12/2024 00:37

A bee broach, tiger’s eye and amber, dead cute and totally unexpected.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 30/12/2024 00:38

A personalised mug with our dog’s picture on it.
An Aspinals leather purse.
A bottle of wine, Terrys chocolate oranges in various flavours and a chamois for my car windscreen.

ghostyslovesheets · 30/12/2024 00:41

Nowt as I don’t have a husband - ex gave me money towards Christmas (for the kids) and wine, champagne and cider- kids got me a nice candle, hair stuff and wine - I got myself shoes and some face stuff- bonus of no let downs, miserable/useless men, no arguments and a peaceful day ❤️

JumpstartMondays · 30/12/2024 00:44

A book that I'd already bought our family and had been on our bookshelf for the past 8months or so. He has now returned it.

Some PJs, when I explicitly said I don't want any more PJs. He can't return it as he binned the receipts already, apparently.

A coin purse and some socks I bought myself when I needed them about 6w ago, that he swiped from me "because it's nearly Christmas", he wrapped them and gave them to me and even managed to convince my 4yo that the kid had chosen it "didn't they remember?" Erm, nope because I bought it for me!!!

Chocolate coins in my stocking that I also bought and handed to him, and he still forgot to actually put them in my stocking.

Oh and a giant slab of dairy milk. That one I hope to whack him with before I eat it.

MagickTrick · 30/12/2024 00:45

A diamond eternity ring, a smart watch and 2 books that I wanted 🥰
I felt very spoilt this year. Especially as we don’t normally do presents for each other at Christmas.

9999problems · 30/12/2024 00:50

We're on a budget and there's nothing I wanted or needed so I was pleased when DH didn't splash the cash and just got me wine and chocolates.

However, he's been off work all week (teacher) so he has done all the cooking (including Christmas dinner) got up with our DD at ridiculous o-clock every morning so I could catch up on sleep and cared daily for both my parents who have dementia. It's certainly a greater gift than anything I could ask for materially.

WellsAndThistles · 30/12/2024 00:51

Necklace and expensive set of knitting needles, i picked both of those.

Surprises were 'sensible' jammies, knickers and sweets.

Also, a verbal IOU to buy a coat I was fancying in the Fatface sale but sadly everything in the sale is out of stock 😖.

I had to return the jammies so now have £30 banked for buying craft stuff when I next need something.

Mudslideal · 30/12/2024 00:52

My husband nailed it this year,
Snoopy hoody omg I love it
Chanel perfume
Smellies
Snoopy calendar
Bodywork's candle
Weekend away in York in January
Dyson air wrap that literally blew me away haha
He's amazing and I love him to bits xx
He did very well also but knew what he was getting but had a few surprises to unwrap x

WellsAndThistles · 30/12/2024 00:57

Oh, I missed the best present! Just him being there as he normally has to work Xmas so having him for Xmas day and boxing day was amazing.

Ruthietuthie · 30/12/2024 01:00

A beautiful bag for work (Bally Deco Tote bag in Ebano leather - a deep brown color), which I had been admiring for a long time.
A Tiffany silver cuff, which I had also wanted for ages.
A "diamond by the yard" necklace - also lovely.
He always gets me really nice things.

Hskatkat · 30/12/2024 01:00

@WellsAndThistles have you checked other sites for fatface? M&S stock it I would guess Next might (I don't shop there but the have loads of brands now I believe)

User12385359 · 30/12/2024 01:01

A kindle paperwhite with case and accessories. I ran out of books on holiday this year so very pleased that I won’t be in that situation again!

Gorgeousfeet · 30/12/2024 00:10

What a lovely gift and so lovely just to be together as a family.
It’s really hard going isn’t it? How often is your DH away for?

Oh thank you and I have to keep the bottle forever!
He comes home every Easter, summer holidays and Christmas holidays and he stays at least 1 or 2 months home and sometimes it depends on the work that needs to be done.

Hskatkat · 30/12/2024 01:04

@Ruthietuthie that bag 😍 👜
wowsers!!! I'm jealous it's gorgeous!

ForAzureSeal · 30/12/2024 01:05

A bar of soap wrapped up. I had bought myself some new make up earlier in December and told him it was from him. So wasn't expecting anything from him. The soap was sweet. We share finances so it feels pointless buying each other gifts. We buy things we want for ourselves when we want/need them. I bought him a family game and some chocolates. He'd bought a guitar earlier in year so we decided that was his main present ... We're not natural gift givers...

JaceLancs · 30/12/2024 01:06

DP not DH bought me a black sweater dress, scarf to match my favourite coat both jaeger, a cat ornament, some amazing Paul Smith leather gloves and a gold and emerald antique brooch in the shape of a frog
