Been on a few of dates with a colleague. Not had sex yet, was internally planning on it.

When discussing sex a few days ago, he sort of pre warned me that he lasts notoriously long. Usually not far off an hour.

I know, men say this to show off. But he said it knowing that I was soon going to find out. Plus, it was prompted by me saying that sex over an hour is too long for me.

AIBU or is that a ridiculous amount of time? I don't want to be having sex for that long?! I feel like cutting it off already, before having to endure that.

I think it depends how enjoyable that hour would be and what would happen during the 60 mins. Someone just grinding away for an hour . . . . Forget it. But if that includes changes in position, changes in tempo etc then if it was fun and I enjoyed it then an hour would be fine by me. I mean, there are worse ways to spend an hour, no?! 😂

Yes, you'd think so, but there's a distinct second-wavey smell of "all penetrative sex is rape" around here. People don't exactly say it but it's there in some attitudes. That's what I was getting at.

This is a difficult one! An hour every time of pure pumping away PIV? That could be dull, depending on how good he is. I can happily do up to two hours/hour and a half if some of that includes foreplay, and the sex itself is more than just hammering away frantically trying to finish. Change of positions, maybe toys, blah blah blah.

But every time? Nope. I like sex to be different! Sometimes a proper quickie, sometimes in between, sometimes a long shagathon. I've dated men who either finish in 5 seconds OR hammer away for hours every time, and that'd be a no for me.
