AIBU to feel completely distressed by the viral video of the aftermath of onlyfans worker Lily P 'sleeping with' 100 men?

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 09:48

I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

I think a lot here are mixing Lilly Phillips and Bonnie blue up. It’s Bonnie who’s mum works for her, although there is suspicions that it’s not actually her mum and is all an act. Her stepdad also wears badges saying that he fxxed Bonnie blue.

lilly and Bonnie work together and their next quest is 1000 men.

personally I think it’s disgusting, but we can’t be empowering sex work one day and then wanting to put a stop to it when we think they’ve taken it too far. Unless of course they done something illegal.

bonnie makes a few hundred thousand a month (apparently) and I’m unsure about Lilly. Hopefully in the next year or so they take their millions, pay for intensive therapy and leave the spotlight as I can’t see how this won’t eventually catch up with them

So all women who have sex in ways that you disapprove are 'mentally ill', @Jellycats4life ?

Does that include casual sex with randoms, or just when money is exchanged, or when it's recorded for others to view? In which ways and in which situations is it acceptable for women to have sex, just so we know?

I see women who indulge in risky, casual sex with a lot of random guys as a form of self-harm, yes.

Nolegusta · 11/12/2024 12:02

She chose this.

Startinganew32 · 11/12/2024 12:04

You obviously know very little about mental health law if you think you can section an adult for making unwise choices. I don’t think she’s mentally ill but I’d venture that she has some sort of personality disorder.

She is making millions from this stuff. She is choosing it and is not a victim and we shouldn’t pretend that she is. So she cried a bit in her video? It’s probably deliberate so that it sparks more debate. She’s probably dead inside which is how she can do these things.

But I genuinely don’t care. There are more deserving victims out there who don’t sell themselves for millions.

I'm afraid the more I see of the internet and social media and what it has done to the human race, the more I wish it hadn't been invented

That's why I don't do social media.
Nothing but problems

Treaclewell · 11/12/2024 12:06

She didn't sleep with any of them. did she? Even when shocked we use language to weaken the event.
I remember in I Claudius that one of an Emperor's wives did this, all without the internet.
And the men, like those Frenchmen that raped Mme. Pellicot. Do they deserve that soliliquoy of Hamlet's let alone that bit in the Bible - a little lower than the angels? A lttle lower than a mallard drake perhaps.

And mental hospitala used to be full of women who as girls had only looked interestedly at a man.

Dollybantree · 11/12/2024 12:07

I think she must be very damaged and fucked up in the head. I’m guessing she’s not had a normal/decent upbringing?

TheSilkWorm · 11/12/2024 12:07

WasThatACorner · 11/12/2024 11:34

My bad, she was visibly extremely distressed afterwards. It doesn't make a huge difference to me but whatever.

The fact that this is where you have decided to focus your argument and the shoulder shrugging emoji makes me sad for humanity much more than a young woman making poor decisions.

No, I'm sorry, you need to be accurate here otherwise you're not making any real kind of point. I've watched the clip, she wasn't 'visibly extremely distressed'. You've now added the word 'extremely' where it doesn't belong. She looked knackered, a bit shocked, and she was slightly tearful. She wasn't extremely distressed. If you want to use her to make a point then don't embellish the details, it makes your point pointless.

ByHardyAquaFox · 11/12/2024 12:09

No sympathy from me. This is what happens when you don't use your brain.

@lookingforahandhold thought I'd reply here

Honestly I don't know, surely there are grounds that she's acting insanely? 🥺

I guess it's wishful thinking that she'd have family who would testify that she isn't of sound mind, given that her mum is involved in this business anyway

I wonder if her mum sees herself as some kind of kris jenner momager

Disgusting woman.

That's not the criteria for sectioning for goodness sake. She had a large quantity of consensual sex with a large number of men and you think she should lose her liberty over that choice?

Jellycats4life · 11/12/2024 12:10

You’ve raised a very interesting point in that “we” (women, that is) are supposed to believe that selling our bodies is empowering, and that in a capitalist society, any form of money making (including prostitution) is fine and dandy as long as it’s a free choice.

There is an alternative. We can believe that it’s profoundly abusive and harmful to all women who do it. We don’t have to parrot lines about choice and empowerment at all.

She didn't sleep with any of them. did she? Even when shocked we use language to weaken the event.

Indeed. They used her body as a kind of wank sock, let’s be real here.

WasThatACorner · 11/12/2024 12:11

Porcuporpoise · 11/12/2024 11:42

The focus is on the person who instigates it tbf.

You know he instigated sex as a commodity?

Do tell.

Msmoonpie · 11/12/2024 12:13

I’m shocked at the amount of people who are effectively saying “Well she’s a slut so I don’t feel bad when she was sexually assaulted”.

Men are certainly the problem. But they’re clearly not all of it.

She openly chose this. Nobody forced her to do it. She obviously enjoyed it, or the consequences (money) because she's going to do it again.

The irony.
She wasn't sexually assaulted, she had consensual sex.
You don't think blurring the lines to the extent you have could prove problematic for women who HAVE been sexually assaulted???

Why should I feel bad if she got cum in her eye? Genuinely. I don’t think she classes it as sexual assault either.
It seems that she didn’t have a bad upbringing- normal middle class and her parents are still together and know what she does. She has some sort of brain defect that makes her able to do this - a bit like being a psychopath I would guess. But she knows precisely what she is doing and she is no poor victim.

What do you mean sexually assaulted?

FuckItItsFine · 11/12/2024 12:17

@SassK Right?! Essentially “she asked for it”. So, by consenting to some sex with these men she deserves to have men ejaculating in her eyes, which she didn’t consent to.

@MumOfOneAllAlone Where did you see this 'viral video?' I can't find it anywhere. I can only find a 30 second video on Youtube about it, and a 16 minutes one with some dude talking all over it, and giving his point of view.

Go on YouTube, search for Josh Pieters

LookingForAHandHold · 11/12/2024 12:17

@Msmoonpie she wasn't sexually assaulted. This was fully consent

Why are there world records for this sort of thing?

Isn't there a world record for absolutely everything?

GoldsolesLugs · 11/12/2024 12:18

Mixed feelings.
She's 20, which although young is old enough to know better. I feel sorry for her because she's made a mistake, but it was her that freely chose to make that mistake. We don't need to infantilize her.
However I do think we should work towards destigmatizing this sort of thing - so she shouldn't be discriminated against for having fucked 100 men on camera.

I'm afraid the more I see of the internet and social media and what it has done to the human race, the more I wish it hadn't been invented

Sadly, that's how Tim Berners-Lee (the inventor of the internet) now feels about his invention. 😔 Personally, I don't think he should, as the internet is amazing, but I feel quite differently about the inventors of (anti)social media. The man-child, Zuckerberg, sold Mugbook to us as creating a more "connected" world, but lacked the emotional intelligence to foresee that bad actors would contort its use to appeal to the worst of humanity. But hey, who cares so long as it made him mega-rich? (He certainly doesn't.) I'd like to see him and his ilk held truly accountable for what they've visited on the world (I'm thinking of all the people routinely defrauded on Mugbook every day). One thing's for sure, we are less "connected" as a human race due to (anti)social media. ☹️

If you are going to let 101 men have sex with you in a small amount of time there is a good chance there is is going to be some sperm splashed about.
