AIBU to feel completely distressed by the viral video of the aftermath of onlyfans worker Lily P 'sleeping with' 100 men?

1000 replies

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 09:48

I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

Absolutely. Whoever sold the idea that sex work is "empowering" to women (probably a man), played an absolute blinder.

"No ladies, don't listen to those silly feminists telling you that you don't have to provide us with sexual services for money anymore, you don't have to do what they tell you. In fact, it's more empowering not to. Yeah, that's right, errm, cause then it's your choice not to, what do those silly hags know anyway? So give us more, and you know what? The more extremes you go to, the more empowered you feel! Hooray! What a girlboss! You know, this actually makes you more of a feminist than those boring old wimmins rights women"

Then muttering as he walks off "I can't believe they actually fell for that...."

Lol this is spot on. Sadly true.

i am sorry this is not some vulnerable young naive girl

I think her crying in that video after, and the lack of thought she'd given to catching stds before, shows she is naive

She's not a perfect victim, few ever are

I would save your sympathy for someone who deserves it. Nobody is forcing this woman. She’s doing it for fame.

Exactly why else would she post it online

WasThatACorner · 11/12/2024 22:45

Bbq1 · 11/12/2024 22:36

Oh, okay. Do you want to tell me how well she's treating the young men she grooming? Of course I treat her as human because she is one. That's not in question but I will not reserve kindness for someone who neither appears to need or want that. She doesn't. She's happy as she is. Nothing wrong in my life, thanks, just because I refuse to talk about "being kind" to this woman doesn't mean something is wrong. I had a great childhood and have a long, happy marriage although that has nothing to do with the woman's choices.

So, to summarise.... your life is all good, don't care about her..... no interest in the wider context.

Wonderful.

mrsrabbit33 · 11/12/2024 22:45

Imagine being the 99th man. I mean it's all just so grim, so unhygienic, so dangerous for physical and mental health. Why is this sort of shit allowed to be advertised and even celebrated? She'll be on This Morning next with Dermot and Allison preaching female empowerment.

If this is her only talent I feel sorry for her. However she can't complain when things go wrong and she gets hurt when she is putting herself in such ridiculously stupid situations.

I would suggest she is. For a so-called empowered sex worker, as some on this thread seemed determine to view her, she is woefully ill-informed and hence vulnerable. As a pp pointed out:

She also seems quite naive about it all- she had no idea that STDs could be spread orally and said that she doesn’t do any background checks from a criminal standpoint because she doesn’t think anyone would go to all that effort just to harm her.

i think part of the issue is some people dont want to presume other women would do a stunt like this unless their are issues etc but from what i understand she had a good upbringing , family and no need for the stunt, but did it anyway.

She can complain though. She can cry. She can regret it, she can feel traumatised. As long as she’s not accusing anyone of doing anything illegal when she gave consent, she can do what ever she likes. She’s allowed to complain and regret it.

Ytcsghisn · 12/12/2024 00:06

WasThatACorner · 11/12/2024 19:35

No, I'm asking for you to look at the wider causes of that behaviour.

101 people (plus 36k subscribers) felt that thus was an OK thing to do.

Let's look at that and not villainize one of those 36101 people.

Let's have a conversation rather than a witch hunt.

You are just making things up in your head and creating a narrative.

‘We’ are not responsible for anything. She wants to be a famous prostitute, is one, and making loads of money out of it. How is anyone else responsible. The crying is just a pathetic attempt to gain more fame.

It all sounds very armchair psychologist to make up elaborate theories around how society has failed her. But that’s nothing more than the bystanders and spectators wanting to be morally superior by making up these theories rather than admitting that they are enjoying the show too.

Wow so you are concerned? To be fair, everyone on the internet is a social activist. Typing out concern and kindness is a new kind of moral duty and evidence of piety.

That’s not meant to be personal towards you. Just an observation of how the ‘be kind’ culture works.

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 12/12/2024 00:24

I agree with whoever said this is a form of extreme self-harm on her part. I see it as akin to other self-harm which also hurts and is unpleasant but provides some psychological 'need' (or fame).

I know absolutely nothing about this woman and haven't read the link - but I would think this too.

YouZirName · 12/12/2024 00:40

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

OMGJustCalculatedMyBMI · 12/12/2024 00:45

Oh dear, Oh dear. Don't care if I sound like a old woman (I am!)

What is going on with these young girls. Where is their dignity, pride and self respect. I would have said she is incredibly ill mentally but others are saying she isn't and did not have a traumatic childhood so I just don't know.

No wonder men think it is okay to treat women badly (not all of them obviously)

I have read some true story books of sex trafficking victims (I know a slightly different topic here). One young girl thought she was applying and getting a job but ended up in Amsterdams red light district. it was interesting but completely horrifying. She had to 'entice' so many men per day in to have sex or she would get beaten etc by her 'owner'. She just became like a zombie. Body there, mind elsewhere. Another young girl that was in the same position just couldn't do it. So she got filmed for a snuff movie and murdered since she was no use to them.

I've also read accounts from porn actresses who were semi 'famous' and had been quite public about supporting porn and saying it was all done respectfully and with consent etc. Years later when they were out of the industry they told the truth about the abuse, the constant pain of doing things the female body is not meant to do, the constant uti's, the prolapses, the effect on her mental and physical health. She said the whole industry is very bullying and even when the woman is crying out in pain, they still try to get her to continue. If she can't or won't she does not get paid.

Last but not least on netflix there is a series called Runaway about a young girl who's 'boyfriend' basically involves her in all kinds of unpleasant things. One scene which was horrific was he drugged her in her drink and then left and they started filming it while several - four, five men were raping her and she didn't even know it was happening. I think it was fictional but it was very gritty and believable. Not a happy series but interesting to watch.

So what's the point in my ramblings. I just think any woman that willingly puts herself into a vunerable position sexually (the lady being discussed here, the porn actress) are either nuts or mentally ill. It is so dangerous to them I just can't understand why you would otherwise.

Obviously the ones that were trafficked were held against their will so I don't include them in this but their stories showed me how evil some men are and how naive and trusting woman often are thinking the best of people.

I'm actually quite glad I'm old now and grew up in a different time (although there were still predators around then too of course). I had no idea how vunerable I was when I was 13-18. Body of a woman, mind of a child. I now realise grown men were no doubt eyeing me up when I would have not been remotely aware of this thinking they saw me as a 'child' and not a sexual being. The threads on here from mothers outraged at men oggling their teenage daughter just turn me cold inside. Scary, scary, scary.

Anyway sorry to get off topic!

Her aim for 1000 men in a day is to break the world record

Well, that's okay then, if it's for a world record. (I did know this.)

From your previous post you blithely referred to this recent 100 men goal as "a day's work"...

A day's work... Far out.

You should not be around people with trauma, you do not understand its various manifestations.

I don't understand your point. Are you insisting that the only reason lily did this is that she is manifesting some prior trauma? Or are you saying the reason she wants to do it again is because this incident was traumatic and she's trying to recover from it in a flawed way? Because either claim is not borne out by evidence.

Ihateboris · 12/12/2024 07:09

Let's be honest, she just wants to make a shit ton of money, and rather than getting a proper job, she CHOSE to do this. I have absolutely no sympathy for her, but will save my sympathy for girls who are FORCED into prostitution. It's women like this that influence young girls into doing "sex work". I absolutely despair.

User135644 · 12/12/2024 07:11

Nearly all your posts mention her crying. Why are you so focussed on her crying? Some people cry very easily, over a TV advert, over a minor frustration. This isn't a sign that she's deeply traumatised. She choosing to sleep with 1000 men next. She doesn't have to do this if she doesn't want to.

Esme32 · 12/12/2024 07:45

£2,000 to sleep with 100 men, that's £20 per male. No standards, I have no sympathy for stupid.

Where did you get that figure from?

People talking about STD and not wanting to be the 99th man - Surely they used condoms? (I'm not condoning the whole thing btw)

Deathraystare · 12/12/2024 08:02

@OM@OMGJustCalculatedMyBMI

I agree with you. I have seen too many articles where an 'actress' eventually leaves porn and admits how terrible it really was. Yet before they were saying how great it all was.

Yeah they did
though you can still contract STIs through oral sex and sex with condoms (warts and herpes at minimum)

BilboBlaggin · 12/12/2024 08:04

I have no sympathy for the "victim", and I despise the vile men who went along with it. It surely doesn't take many brain cells to realise this would be a huge risk to your sexual health (both her and subsequent men who didn't use a condom). I'd also have thought that another part of her anatomy would hurt much more [than her eyes] after so many penetrations. She made her choices and could have stopped the process at any time.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but Bonnie Blue was on This Morning about a week ago with Presenter and Feminist Ashley Jones, Cat Deeley and Andi Peters.

She apparently makes £600K a month by seducing students.
