I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

A commenter doesn't agree or understand that trauma is nuanced and presents in many ways.

My issue isn't with the few women who choose to fulfill these male fantasies. It's with the wider societal processes that support and defend the men using these women either in person or remotely.

I work with trauma, I understand its various manifestations. It still doesnt mean, if she does have a trauma history, that everything someone does is born out of that trauma.

She has agency and choice. She is working for a living she chooses to do that

i find it hard to find much sympathy to be honest seeing as she was not some willing participant. these 100 men and viewers hardly drugged her up and carried her off somewhere to have sex. she is more then willing to cross over boundaries for views, clicks and money.

Oh, okay. Do you want to tell me how well she's treating the young men she grooming? Of course I treat her as human because she is one. That's not in question but I will not reserve kindness for someone who neither appears to need or want that. She doesn't. She's happy as she is. I had a great childhood and have a long, happy marriage although that has nothing to do with the woman's choices.

The issue is huge. I think it shows that, if they could, a not insignificant number of men would use a vulnerable woman for sex in this way.
