AIBU to feel completely distressed by the viral video of the aftermath of onlyfans worker Lily P 'sleeping with' 100 men?

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 09:48

I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

@WasThatACorner will you make your point already?

Those tears didn't lie, and I think they showed exactly who she is and exactly the mess she has got herself into 🥺

Did we watch the same clip? She was a little tearful but she was hardly sobbing and saying she regretted it. She said it wasn’t what she expected.

Also who are these people profiting from her? She employs 8 people and apparently they are all women. She started only fans of her own volition during lockdown. She is the one who runs the show.

Now let's look at the reasons that 36,101 people felt OK to engage in this.

Can you manage that or would you like to try startinganew33?

LookingForAHandHold · 11/12/2024 20:55

@WasThatACorner you're still not saying why you think it is. If you want to enter into a debate you need to have some form of argument.

PinkLionFind · 11/12/2024 20:56

You just know those men wouldn’t have stopped when the timer went off.

She putting herself in a terrible and vulnerable position, all they had was a baby monitor I think if she needed assistance?

And the physical damage of her body.

The whole thing is horrific.

I've made my point a lot of times and you haven't managed to engage.

LET'S LOOK AT THE REASONS THAT 36,101 PEOPLE FELT THIS WAS OK RATHER THAN VILLIFY ONE WOMAN.

godmum56 · 11/12/2024 20:57

I have never watched anything about this lady although I was vaguely aware of her. I do wonder why people watch things that "completely distress" them that they can do nothing about?

LookingForAHandHold · 11/12/2024 20:58

@WasThatACorner no, that's not a point. It's the beginning of a debate.

So, what's your point? Why do you think they engaged? What do you think their motivations were?

Precisely. She made a choice in her line of business. And much like the rest of us some of our choices go well and some do not. I don't blame others for my bad choices.

WasThatACorner · 11/12/2024 21:05

Yes, the beginning of a debate is to say "can we look at this wider issue". Are you interested in that conversation about wider social structures?

I would argue that with posters on "safe female spaces" like mumsnet falling over each other to vilify women who make poor choices, women are likely to feel unsafe and retreat into further risky behaviours if the 'transgress'.

I'm interested in the reasons that women are defending all of the men involved. I don't have an answer, I am a mum of boys and I have worked hard having difficult conversations for years to help them to understand the reality of life as a female.

Onceuponatime9 · 11/12/2024 21:06

There is enjoying sex, then there is profeteering from sex to the point of self destruction. I would never judge sexual choices, each to their own if legal & consensual. I would still ask where do you draw the line?

They’re her “fans” and like the entertainment they pay for I presume. I think she’s gross and she chose to do this but I also think that she can do this if she wants to so I’m not vilifying her as such. She is very rich as a result of what she does.

You keep asking the questions and not answering them.

I personally don't think that the men are the only ones who are to blame in this situation. She chose this. If she regrets it, it's on her. She clearly had money before this.

TiredCatLady · 11/12/2024 21:08

I’ll save my tears for the women who are trafficked and beaten into sex work and for whom there is no escape (until they’re potentially dead). Not this nasty narcissist sobbing into her millions as she gains another 10k sicko subscribers.

Startinganew32 · 11/12/2024 21:08

Who is defending the men? But if a woman asks a man to have sex with her, often he will say yes. She consented and invited them. The men are pretty irrelevant really.

Ilikemymenlikeilikemycoffee · 11/12/2024 21:09

No one made her do it. She knew what she was doing. Wanted the attention. What did she think would happen?

Cantrushart · 11/12/2024 21:13

Edingril · 11/12/2024 10:47

So women can't think for themselves? They need a man to do it for them?

This is not about men thinking for women, it's about the responsibility of society to protect the vulnerable.

NewBootsWeather · 11/12/2024 20:45

All the youngsters can do the highly polished videos.

I don't think you have much experience of social media including Tiktok.

You come across as a really caring person but very naive.

I think i come across as caring and also experienced in the world of cruelty

No-one experiences cruelty like a vulnerable woman, except a vulnerable mother. It's a great privilege not to have experienced that.

People are targeting all sorts of hate at her, blaming her for her suffering and calling her vile and an embarrassment to women. She's sat there crying and clearly distressed. I don't think it's naive to take that seriously

@MumOfOneAllAlone you literally see in that same video that she wants to go and do it again. You've seen what you want to see

NewBootsWeather · 11/12/2024 21:21

I have discussed a lot with my Son about porn not being true sex, treating women right etc.

I've also talked about Bonnie and Lily and he finds it gross.

They are disgusting young women.

Hayley1256 · 11/12/2024 21:21

TBH I'm not sure how much I buy into her tears, she could have stopped the sex at any point. She's planning on doing it again with more men. I don't think it's fair to victims of SA or any types of abuse to put this women into the same category - victims have no choice in the matter, she does. She may have bad people around but no one will be able to help her unless she asks

DdraigGoch · 11/12/2024 21:22

Greeneyegirl · 11/12/2024 10:52

It wasn't for a documentary. She was doing it for her only fans account. Someone made a documentary after she had announced she was going to do it.

I don't really want to start Googling (feel nauseous already) but are we talking a professional documentary for a broadcaster/streamer, or some amateur thing for Youtube or similar? If the former then I'd like to know - who the fuck commissions this shit?

In the same video where she's crying, do you mean? Or at the very end of the documentary?

He's posted it on YouTube and then an explicit version somewhere else. Seems amateur
