I've tried to word this carefully.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

People are looking at reasons that a person would feel that this was a good idea.

Take the individuals out of it and look at the situations, account for studies that show a correlation between abuse / neglect and dysregulated sexual behaviour as an adult.
