Put an AirTag in car

we had only one family car. I used to be the only driver for years until recently my husband got his driver license. At home, we usually park our car on street in front of our house but it may fully occupied sometimes so we need to park in the nearby street. I may not know where the car is when it is parked by my husband. So I put a spare AirTag in the car and share it with my husband so both of us can track the car’s location in our iPhones. But it piss off my husband. He said I’m stalker spying on where he goes everyday. But I only want to help us find our car easier. AIBU?

Of course you don’t have to but what is the actual argument against it? He doesn’t want her to know where he is, why not? Like I said I don’t have any of this tracking stuff but if I was asked I wouldn’t care as I have nothing to hide…I don’t get the issue

I wouldn’t care either, I have nothing to hide so wouldn’t see an issue, I’d probably just laugh if my OH suggested it. I do however don’t really see the need in this case, just go outside and use your eyes!

It wouldn't bother me at all. I can't see a problem with it being in the car unless you go places you do not want others to know about.

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest. We have each other on find my iPhone so that we know when each other is in the way home and can put dinner in the oven. We have my daughter on as she was a vet on call to farms and yards in the middle of the night. She felt better knowing that we could see where she was. I can only imagine the people expressing fury have things to hide.

It wouldn't bother me but dh and I know each others passwords et so not worried about hiding anything. .

I'd find his reaction a bit suspicious tbh

Sorry but I agree with your husband. I'd be fuming if anyone could track my movements.

Why? I track my wife, she tracks me. I track my kids. It's really handy. My wife hates me calling when she's driving, we both like to know the kids are safe. So long as it's reciprocal, who cares...

If people are all happy with it, that's one thing. But if one person doesn't want it, then it's an issue.

When we had on street parking, it actually meant parking either on the street we lived on (easy to see), round the corner on the next street (fairly easy as you'd have to go that way), or on one of two other streets, one to the left and one to the right - I often didn't remember where I'd parked myself never mind if it was someone else who'd parked up!
