To ask if you believe in time slips?

I'm on the fence about woo things, however I do like reading stories.

There are lots of stories about time slip experiences, with the most well known being Bold Street, Liverpool. The stories I find interesting are when more than one person (from the 'present' time) sees the 'past' at the same time. In that case it can't be a hallucination - they're either both colluding liars or they really did see 'something'.

Has anyone had any such experiences? I suppose if such a thing exists, we could 'slip' an hour or a day into the past and not even realise.

I've had two weird things, not time slips but things from the past appearing from nowhere (for context my house isn't cluttered and I don't hold onto things for sentimental value) -

  1. about 10 years ago a day travel card for the underground appeared in my house in immaculate condition from 1988, no idea how or why. It looked like it had been printed that day but from googling it's an authentic ticket.
  1. A couple of months ago I went to get bay leaves from my spice rack and when I picked up the bay leaves they were in a jar from tescos with an expiry of 1996. Again, absolutely no context or reason to have happened, I was only 6 in 1996 and use bay leaves at least every other week and have never seen this jar before.

Both explainable but equally not really much argument for how they got into my house each time or why!

It generally refers to a someone travelling backwards (or forwards) in time, so that they find themselves in the same place but during a different time period. Yours sounds more like a ghost story, or "stone tapes".

Gotcha!

I don’t think humans will ever be able to time-travel freely. In 2009, Stephen Hawking held a party for time-travellers from the future, complete with decorations, food and champagne. He did not publicise the invitation until the following day. No one turned up.

I don’t know of anything that would rule out time-slips, but I’ve only ever heard anecdotal evidence of them. I’d love it if they existed.

@Squirrel01 "exactly, try to explain air planes, wifi, talking machines or computers, and various other inventions, they would say its the devil etc"

But none of those things actually go against the laws of physics. The physics stays the same-we just discover better ways of using it.

When I was a child (a very long time ago!) I won a prize for an essay describing something I wanted-a book that you could open and there would be any story you wanted. Imagine my excitement when I got my first Kindle! I wasn't a time traveller or anything-I just had a vivid imagination.

I am never sure what to believe but the odd thing that happened to me was a dream about going to bed and a very specific bedding set I'd never seen or even thought about. It was my bedroom in the dream.
The next week I was out shopping and that exact set was in a shop. And of course I bought it!

I literally just finished an ebook about the Bold Street time slip!!

I feel like it has something to do with the electricity from railway lines converging below.

I’ve tried on occasion to get caught on Bold Street, especially at Christmas when they’ve had lights beaming from the tower of St Luke’s directly down the street. Very atmospheric!

Those saying there is no evidence… well I have mobile phone video evidence of a potential time slip - that a few people have watched and agree it sounds like an audio timeslip (no idea if that is a thing). Everyone can hear the voice as described in my previous post and were really freaked out by it.

But there’s no way I would share the footage outside the family for investigation as it’s not worth the potential hassle/scrutiny. Very few people want to share this kind of stuff for fear of ridicule. There may well be a rational explanation but based on the creepy voice, I would never stay in that house again.

One thing that makes me think there’s something woo going on is the fact that it’s in a very popular holiday spot and it’s not listed on any sites where you can leave reviews. It was quite cheap and they could be charging a lot more.

Thanks for freaking me out before bed 😫 😂
