To ask if you like Jeremy Vine?

I’ve been hearing a lot about Jeremy Vine lately, and I’m curious - do people actually like his style of presenting? I find he can be quite polarising, with some loving him and others not so much. AIBU to ask what others think about him and why?

Can’t stand him, he’s an obnoxious twat and a total show off. (Also he’s a total prick when in comes to his entitlement when riding his bike).

I just don't think he has the comprehension for his job at radio 2. He so often misunderstands his callers, but because he's well spoken/educated he's assumed to be intelligent.

Sometimes his radio show has interesting topics so I occasionally listen, but I would turn him off tv. I couldn’t watch him.

No. Can't stand him! Doesn't listen to his guests and gives way too much air time to people with 'questionable views '. Have to turn off the radio when he's on....

Cannot stand him. He gets turned off on the dot of noon. Much preferred when Vanessa stood in for him.

He ruined Radio 2 lunchtime with his shallow, sensationalist style of conducting himself rather than asking pertinent questions and listening to guests’ answers.

Imo he’s a fluff piece who heard the afternoon parody of himself and thought it was a good idea to go even further into parodying the parody himself.

Tf I haven’t had to see or hear him in years now.

Can't stand him. Way too pompous and self-opinionated. Especially for a BBC presenter. We don't care what you think Jezza and just cos you wear lycra doesn't mean you should push the aggressive cyclists' agenda at every opportunity (obviously not all cyclists are like this).

I used to like him when he was a proper journalist on Newsnight. Nowadays he’s awful, agree with an pp that he’s shallow and sensationalist.
Plus he must have an ego the size of a house. He earns a fortune at the BBC but that isn’t enough, he also needs to be on the tele everyday on Chanel 5. Give someone else a go Jeremy!

I like him - but appears I'm in the minority 😅

He occasionally irritates me but on the whole I like his radio show and he comes across as a decent sort. I've never watched his TV show so can't comment on that.

I'm not keen on his radio show but then I like the Patrick Christys's show so...

Agree with what others have said. I quite liked him on R2 when he started but can't listen now. Sensationalist Daily Mail radio! He asks stupid questions for reactions and stokes outrage! I think it got worse when he had his channel 5 show

Perfectly sums up my feelings too

i find him pompous, arrogant and rude. He cuts off people being interviewed if he doesn’t agree with them, and he speaks over people.
Hes a terrible broadcaster.

I still miss Jimmy Young and the Legal Beagle.
