To ask if you like Jeremy Vine?

I’ve been hearing a lot about Jeremy Vine lately, and I’m curious - do people actually like his style of presenting? I find he can be quite polarising, with some loving him and others not so much. AIBU to ask what others think about him and why?

I really like him. Seems a decent bloke to me

He's known as "Mr Goady" in my house.

Not keen on him, but some of the panelist’s and people phoning in are pretty entertaining…🙄

Odious man. I have to change station when 8 hear his voice. He is deliberately provocative for no reason other than causing friction. It doesn’t improve a debate but seriously degrades it. Utter wanker in my opinion.

He’s better than Storm Huntley, but he’s turned that ch5 prog into a dreadful right wing shitshow since he took over

Yes, he made his wife and then 10-year-old daughter significant shareholders in the limited company he put his media earnings through in order to keep his tax bill down. At the time he did it there was a big tax advantage to company directors/shareholders taking payouts via company dividends rather than through PAYE (although Chancellors from George Osborne onwards have now pretty much removed this). It was perfectly legal and likely on the advice of an accountant but I'd never take lectures on pay and taxation, particularly public sector, from the man.

Paddy is brilliant when he stands in for Jezza; as is Tina (and as was Vanessa).

Often, TV/radio shows are a bit disappointing when the main presenter is on holiday and you get a replacement, but not a bit of it with those two.

See I hate it when tina stands in for him, for me, it's like she doesn't really know what to say..she doesn't spark a debate and is boring.
I like JVs show and he seems alright(came across ok on strictly too)

Indeed! They may as well just get Mike Parry and Owen Jones on together and stand back with a Harry Hill-style "Fiiiiiiight!!!!"

On the C5 show, I always wonder how many callers they actually get, as it's the same people calling in, day in day out. Do those people have a special hotline, or does nobody else much ever call in?!

Even on the silly topics, they still take the time to call in with their opinions. Fair enough, you want to have your say on how we should clamp down on knife crime; but if it's something ridiculous like "Would YOU share a toothbrush?!" - just why bother?!

No he's a leftie of the highest order.

Do you have any evidence of that ? I would have said a conservative. Traditional .
