This is where I think mumsnet should be entitled to a duty of care to follow up things like this somehow, I’m sure OP is fine but if she wasn’t no one may be helping her or aware. I know it may be an invasion of privacy but there must be so many mumsnetters needing help and not able to ask for it. I hope she’ll let us know soon.

But that would be considered very dangerous if she was in danger of harm and her other half got wind she had wrote about him all over an Internet forum, that’s the problem.

I think if he'd got wind of it, the thread would have been deleted now.

He may have got wind of her leaving / having found a new home, but I do not think the Op has come to any serious harm as she had alerted friends to her decision to leave him and had made arrangements that evening when they were going to sit down and have a talk.

I would hope/suspect/expect that these friends were in touch with the Op and that the Op was in touch with them. I believe the Op's mother is also aware as there was mention of the Op and children moving in if needed in a hurry ?

Yes, but my point was, doing a welfare check might draw attention and cause him to become aware of it, for all we know.

I think it's sensible not to become personally drawn in to threads. The OP may be genuine but a lot of threads where people are posting wanting to know what happened next are later found to be fictitious. I think it's best to just leave a thread to fizzle out.

Yup, saw that from the start too. If she had wanted to leave, she would have left and not sat around doing things for the house, his kids, talk to him about 3-4 pages of lists of issues.

she wanted him to pull her back in and he would have and she just didn’t have the guts to stand up for her kids and herself. That is just so sad, and such a poor role model for her kids…
