There’s still a week before bin collection and this is the state of my neighbours.

This isn’t a one off. It’s constantly like this. Both normal and recycling. Sick of living near tramps that don’t care.

What are they meant to do with their rubbish if the bins provided aren't big enough?
You should be angry at your council - not your neighbours.

ToxicChristmas · 26/06/2024 17:17

What, the lid being up? Or is there more to the photo we can't see?

This. Literally what do you expect them to do?

Gemmy96 · 26/06/2024 17:18

I think YABU, it's better than landfilling recyclables

MonsteraMama · 26/06/2024 17:18

What's the issue, that there's cardboard in their general waste? Or that the bins are overflowing?

Notamum12345577 · 26/06/2024 17:19

Eh, what are they supposed to do with it? Throw it in the wood?!

FartingAgainstThunder · 26/06/2024 17:20

You sound like my upstairs neighbour, We call her moaning Myrtle.
But seriously (and kindly) is this really all you have to whinge about in life?

XenoBitch · 26/06/2024 17:21

There are a few households in my road that put their bins out like this too. They are larger families though, so create a lot more waste.

Changingplace · 26/06/2024 17:21

What else are they supposed to do with their rubbish exactly?

Allfur · 26/06/2024 17:22

Recycle more so less goes in the landfill bin

sweetpickle2 · 26/06/2024 17:23

That pic is hilarious!

I wouldn't know how overflowing my neighbour's bins are because I don't spend all day nosing in their garden or taking incredibly zoomed in pics to try and shame them on the internet.

Notimeforaname · 26/06/2024 17:23

You'll have to move away from all people so.

TiddlyCove · 26/06/2024 17:23

They've failed to put the cardboard in the recycling - is that your point?

PartyPrepProblemo · 26/06/2024 17:24

Is your complaint simply that your neighbours put their rubbish in the their rubbish bins?

TiddlyCove · 26/06/2024 17:25

It is either very zoomed or OP was using a 2 megapixel camera from 1998.

VolvoFan · 26/06/2024 17:26

In all fairness, it would be nice if they did weekly collections instead of fortnightly, especially in warmer weather, otherwise the bins get maggots and smell bad.

greencartbluecart · 26/06/2024 17:27

It doesn't look like they squashed stuff down and the slightest wind will have litter over the street

I know our council will provide a larger bin on request

We would just let our neighbour know they can use ours which is rarely full

RickyGervaislovesdogs · 26/06/2024 17:27

EverythingYouDoIsaBalloon · 26/06/2024 17:18

This. Literally what do you expect them to do?

What everyone else manages to do!

Willsean · 26/06/2024 17:29

It's just very full of ordinary items, not exactly overflowing with filth where you have to deal with it.

Zinzinner · 26/06/2024 17:29

I mean for a start they could try breaking down that bloody box thats sticking out! So I get your point OP, they cant be arsed and dont care.

Anewuser · 26/06/2024 17:30

Ours won’t collect bins if the lids aren’t down.

If larger or more bins are required then we contact the council - which we did, so we have 2 general waste and 2 recycling bins.

AmelieTaylor · 26/06/2024 17:32

it looks like they're not compacting anything or even trying to do anything to help the situation.

i would think reporting them to Environmental Health would be your best option.

I know we can buy replacement bins, which are ££££. Extremely annoying when they've dumped your perfectly fine bin into their big truck!!

but I don't think they'd take more than one bin.

BingoMarieHeeler · 26/06/2024 17:36

Oh just relax OP honestly. You haven’t mentioned that this is actually impacting your life at all - you surely would have if it was. So just let it go.

thequickbrowndog · 26/06/2024 17:38

Omg outrageous... I'd call the police personally 🙄
