To be annoyed at the lack of treatment for diabetes as everyone is snapping it up for weight loss?

Just as the title says really. Myself and other diabetics are having our meds chopped and changed because the pharmacy can't get hold of them. It would seem that they can't get hold of them as people are buying them for weight loss!
Why is everything all about an easy fix with weight loss? If you're taking "weight loss drugs" and not changing your diet and life style then surely once you stop taking them you will put the weight back on?

Uncouth is better than scientifically illiterate. Guess why insulin isn’t prescribed for weight loss - it is amongst other things, an energy storage hormone- it facilitates fat deposits. (Oh and the minor detail that giving insulin to a non-diabetic risks hypoglycaemia and death).

Diabetologist know so well about some patients putting their lives at risk, especially young women, by not taking their insulin or a lower than required dose, as they put on weight and can't lose it, if they do. Insulinorexia.

People with Type 1 diabetes shouldn't be getting screwed over by those that just couldn't put the biscuits down.

Well it's only actually given to type 2 diabetics.....
