Boyfriend’s bizarre underwear routine?

I recently moved in with BF. I have since discovered that he only changes his underwear after he showers in the evening and doesn’t replace them with a new pair each morning after sleeping in them. I think this is very strange and that each time you get dressed for the day you should change your underwear.

I haven’t lived with a man for a long time so I guess I could be unreasonable to think this way?

YABU - he is still changing them daily so no issue

YANBU - he should change them when getting dressed in the morning

So... The morning showerers do what? Shower in the morning, then work all day/do other activities and go to bed without a shower after all days work? In summer too? I find that much MUCH weirder (and much more gross).

As for underwear, I really struggle to understand what on earth is going on with people's undercrackers when they sleep? Like ok, I'm an evening showerer like OP's BF, so brush teeth, cleanse face, shower, deodorant on, undies on (I sleep in underwear, always did and will continue to do so), go to bed. Sleep 6 hours (always do) in a clean bed. I don't shit my pants, don't piss them and don't sweat excessively. So what in the fresh hell happens to my knicks during those 6 hours of lying still in bed that's SO HORRIBLE, gross and so minging?

Me too! I can't imagine sleeping in my knickers, I like to give my fanjo a bit of an airing.

I cant imagine laying in bed naked....what if there was a fire? or someone broke in?...or I have to get up for a wee and accidently catch sight of myself in a mirror!!?
Ive never thought of my undercarriage as being dusty or musty enough to need an airing TBH!

I couldn’t vote. My gut reaction, and the only routine I’ve ever known is a fresh pair of pants in the morning.

BUT there’s no difference in the length of wear ultimately if you do night/day or day/night.

I think neither of you are BU. He’s just a maverick!

My DP does this. His arguement is he's just showered and slept, they are fine

Wow this thread is an eye opener - I thought I was on the slovenly side but despite being mostly an evening bather, even I manage fresh pants each morning.

I shower in the evening then clean knickers on and I sleep in knickers and a big tee shirt. Can't imagine getting into bed dirty.
I don't shower in the morning as showers make me feel light headed first thing. I sometimes put on clean underwear in a morning, sometimes I don't.

Everyone needs fresh pants in the morning even if they showered the night before. Everyone sweats in the night.

Sweet Jesus what world do we live in ?? here we wash in eve me a relaxing bath and himself a shower ( he a builder so normally comes home covered in crap so straight to shower) clean underwear and bed clothes at night. we do not change underwear in mroming nor shower. no crime committed

He's a 24 hour Pants Man , like most men . The fact he showers in the evening and OMG , dares to change his pants at a different time is NOT bizarre .

While I agree with you, my husband does the same, so I think it's normal for men.

All the blokes I have known have worn one pair of undercrackers for the day and another for night.

Its not getting an airing if you've got fabric directly next to it I.e pants
