I'm talking about those light gadgets that wipes away wrinkles! Has anyone got one??
And, those hot brushes you comb through your hair in the car? Do they work??
Il Makiage Is another..

I bought a Revlon 1 hairbrush/dryer gadget. It’s bloody brilliant! And not spendy compared to the likes of the Dyson one. (Particularly paired with the decidedly ungimmicky aquanet hair spray)

Agree.

I know you said anyone else - but just want to reiterate I am more than pleased I took the chance with Halara. As I say, size 12, 5'4", medium petite fits perfectly.

Edited

I’ve had a look at them because I’ve always been tempted. But returns are at your own cost and they don’t say where you are returning them too. Also it doesn’t say what they are made from.

Yeah, I knew returns might be a problem, which is why I just bought one thing initially. They are a sort of stretchy, but quite thick, material (as in thicker than gym leggings).

Has anyone got a Dyson hairdryer or hair straightener? I’m sorely tempted but they are so expensive!

I've got an Airstrait. Literally thought it would be 400 odd quid down the drain, but after 47 years of trying I can finally get a straight blowdry, that doesn't even need the straighteners running over it unless I want to look super polished! It's an awful lot of money for a tool that only really does one thing, but I love it. 2 pumps of frizz ease blow drying spray, 10 mins with the airstrait & I'm good to go!!

What about those diablo lash curl at home kits I keep seeing advertised on sm (I started a post about this but no one replied - not sure if thats because no one has used them or just not a popular topic!)

I wonder about that Laura Geller baked foundation too.

That’s not gimmicky. It’s really good

I recently bought some of the wide-legged trousers from Halara after seeing them everywhere on SM. They were so nice I bought another pair and 2 crop tops (which don't look crop as the trousers are so high waisted). Highly recommended & will probably get more clothes from them.

Ohhh have you got a link please?

Is this like at-home LVL lashes? If so, a friend tried something similar and it was a disaster 😁

Oh..I'll steer clear so!

Revlon dryer brush thingy is making its way to me off the back of this thread! I hope I can do it, I'm so rubbish at hair.

Maising · 31/05/2024 10:51

Recommendation for UK Lash. It's really lengthened my lashes, it works.

I hope that you like it. It's best to three quarters dry your hair first then style away with the Revlon.

£8 postage 😮 on the Breezebalm BB cream!

I've added it to my Amazon wishlist so DH can buy it for my birthday! I used to have a smaller hot brush thing that was similar but it died, it was ok though especially when I had a bob. I've tried the babyliss big hair but just get in a tangle with it.
I'm pretty rubbish at hair too!

Its a lot cheaper to order direct as long as you sign up to the mailing list, discounts all the time and free delivery over £40 normally

Love the blusher, highlighters and bronzers, - and foundations , not very good doing eyes so I dont know if the eyeshadows are good or not

But its fair to say Im really impressed with it all so far ( 6 weeks ) and I now wear make up daily, not worried that its "not right"

Cheers for that, never occurred to me to order direct!, trust me the eyeshadows are lovely, easy to use, last forever and come in very flattering colours x

This is a great thread. Has anyone bought any of the jewellery all over SM, apparently can be worn in shower, pool etc and never tarnishes? I like gold jewellery and I’m tempted to buy, but wondered if it looks cheap and nasty or is a funny shade of gold in real life.

I bought a PVD necklace and the shade of gold is slightly different but it's lasted brilliantly and I get loads of compliments on it. I rarely take it off, even in bed or the shower.

I was really impressed with the Diablo kit! It was the first brand I used for lash lifting and worked brilliantly. My lashes are long, but very fair, fine and straight, it made them much more noticeable and even better with mascara. I bought a cheaper version on Amazon after I ran out of Diablo and the results aren't as good and don't last as long.
I'll use it up, but will repurchase the Diablo kit.

CarpeVitam · 31/05/2024 13:46

@sassyclassyandsmartassy

Are you in the UK? And if yes, whether do you buy the Breezebalm BB cream? Thanks

I bought an Il Makiage foundation and it's amazing, I've now got it on repeat order every three months. I did the colour match quiz and the shade they sent me was perfect - covers all blemishes, it's really lightweight and doesn't even look/feel like I've got foundation on! I got their foundation brush as well which works well with it

Nchanged89 · 01/06/2024 11:23

Well I've bought the tooth cleaner thing. How the hell do you charge the heads, it seems to have rounded off the spanner tool as they are on so tight

LittleSF · 01/06/2024 11:49

Loving this thread!

Can add to the Halara reviews - I got two pairs of the wide legged trousers and love them. Definitely the comfiest trousers I own - wear them to work and always get compliments

Re the Colour Wow dream coat spray, it just doesn't work on my thick course hair. But their High Gloss Finish Pop & Lock serum is magic, gives me glass hair. They do a travel size which is great if you want to test it out before spending a lot.

Not sure if this will help that was in questions and answers on Amazon.
