I wonder about that Laura Geller baked foundation too.

I hated this, made me very orange (seemed to oxidise quickly).

@KimberleyClark Yes!! Has anyone used it)
What about Il Makiage? Looks fabulous but does it actually work that well??? Who has used it?

I have it and I like it personally. Although recently came across BreezeBalm BB cream and that is a complete game changer! Best thing I have ever used by miles for day to day!

I recently got sucked into buying the Heyshape shaper bodysuits. Read all the comments about sizing down - I actually gambled and went 2 sizes down. I'll be damned, they actually work. Tested all day and very comfortable.
Don't get me wrong, they don't make me super skinny, but I certainly appear more than a little slimmer and with a much nicer silhouette.

Yep, these are epic, I agree!

Lollypop701 · 30/05/2024 13:55

I’ve bought non tarnish jewellery from atolea it’s very gold but nice jewellery… and worn the ring for couple of months so in shower etc and not tarnished. Not cheap unless you got for the buy 2 get 3rd free

any recommendations for champo hair stuff… meno thinning and want to know if it works.

Bassetlover · 30/05/2024 13:58

Il Makiage didn't work for me....too cakey. The dip powder nails weren't that great either. Not easy to apply and very difficult to remove.

Thomasina79 · 30/05/2024 14:00

I bought the hot brush for dry hair called answr. It sort of works, but is dangerous in my opinion. It has some very hot parts on the handle which I burnt myself on. I complained and got my money back, but would not buy again. It’s quite expensive too.

MerelyPlaying · 30/05/2024 14:21

Great thread, I’m thinking of buying the Laura Geller so it’s helpful to hear what people say.

Another vote for the Phillips Lumea but as mentioned above it doesn’t work on grey/white hair. It’s on permanent loan to a friend who used to have to shave every day, she loves it. I can’t be bothered anymore because my facial hair is mostly white.

Seriously tempted by the dental cleaner, I hate visiting the hygienist.

Laura Geller make up is great

It is, I used to get it from QVC, the blusher is really good as is the Balance and Brighten baked foundation and the eyeshadows are lovely. Don't buy it anymore as it is too expensive for me these days but I did like it.

emsiewill · 30/05/2024 14:47

I recently bought some of the wide-legged trousers from Halara after seeing them everywhere on SM. They were so nice I bought another pair and 2 crop tops (which don't look crop as the trousers are so high waisted). Highly recommended & will probably get more clothes from them.

I bought an ultrasonic plaque remover for £25. I didn't expect it to work. It does!

Edited

I've just ordered this, mostly for DH as he doesn't have a dentist and his teeth are awful! I'm going to have so much fun playing hygienist this weekend.

Does the Lumea work on blonde body hair?

MerelyPlaying · 30/05/2024 16:15

It's much more effective on dark hair/light skin. So if you are dark-skinned the hair doesn't show up as much to be zapped (you can tell I'm good at the technical stuff!), and equally if you are blonde/grey it is less effective. I can't answer the question exactly as I'm dark-haired, but I don't think it works as well. There's quite a lot of info on the Phillips site as I recall. It was an expensive purchase for me and I researched it carefully, just didn't expect to go grey as fast as I have! Obviously there are still some stubborn dark hairs ... I should really get it back from my friend.

DirtyDensDog · 30/05/2024 16:20

@RagzRebooted I'm too chicken to buy this mainly cos the hygienists really hurts. Also, the noise. Have you played the little video on the Amazon link. I feel pain just from the noise 😆

If I was brave enough I would definitely buy.

I bought the champo serum- its ok - not massively noticeable regrowth- but the shampoo and conditioner really makes my scalp itch like crazy!

Also Colour Wow Dream Coat spray is amazing and smooths hair

Both my friends love this but it does nothing for me? What is the actual point of it? No lift, no volume, not anti-frizz? Is it because my hair gets wet on a daily basis (sometimes twice) walking the dog?!

It stops the flyaways on my hair and smooths it out

I use the Il Makiage, without the primer looks terrible with the primer looks fantastic and not caked on and although only mentally in my 30's I'm actually 60

I‘m early 30s and I found it somehow found every little crease, every bit of imperfect texture and highlighted it, and looked dry. BUT I did love the colour match, and you’re not the only PP to mention how good the primer is so maybe that’s the answer. If they have primer samples, I’ll order one because it’s a shame the bottle is sitting there gathering dust

Unfcukmylife · 30/05/2024 19:47

I've read this thread and mentally spent about £100... I want the plaque thing, the suri toothbrush and a revlon hair thing...

I had been thinking about getting a curling wand. And tips/ recommendations? I'm awful at doing my own hair but bored of scraping it up everyday!

I've been eyeing these up. Do you mind me asking what size you are? Wondering if they look any good on someone who is not waif like?

I'm a size 12 - so have got them in a medium. They do petite length in some colours, which is what I've got and they're the perfect length for me (I'm 5' 4")

OutOfTheHouse · 30/05/2024 20:32

I’ve got a SURI toothbrush. I’ve had a couple of problems with it. The magnet fell off the wall and the paint all started to peel off the body of the brush. But both times I contacted SURI and they replaced them no questions asked.

MaidOfBondStreet · 30/05/2024 22:44

Halara?!! Yes please - has anyone else got these?
Tell me what size you got and are they good?

Its a lot cheaper to order direct as long as you sign up to the mailing list, discounts all the time and free delivery over £40 normally

Love the blusher, highlighters and bronzers, - and foundations , not very good doing eyes so I dont know if the eyeshadows are good or not

But its fair to say Im really impressed with it all so far ( 6 weeks ) and I now wear make up daily, not worried that its "not right"

the primer is great, not only makes the overall effect fantastic but you only use half the amount of makeup too

I know you said anyone else - but just want to reiterate I am more than pleased I took the chance with Halara. As I say, size 12, 5'4", medium petite fits perfectly.
