On Radio 5 ...

I'm watching the Youtube live stream. It's going to be a gruelling few days for her.

littlbrowndog · 22/05/2024 11:00

I am listening

porridgecake · 22/05/2024 11:02

The fact that she is a C of E vicar shocks me. Then I remember the many stories of vicars and priests doing all sorts of awful things.

sprigatito · 22/05/2024 11:02

I'm watching on Sky news. What a heartless, shell-backed mendacious creature she is Angry

The crocodile tears are nauseating.

littlbrowndog · 22/05/2024 11:02

Staring to cry now

Hobnobswantshernameback · 22/05/2024 11:03

She destroyed people's lives.
Spare me the crocodile tears

littlbrowndog · 22/05/2024 11:08

Exactly. People were jailed and committed suicide. On her watch

Sausagenbacon · 22/05/2024 11:10

The clinical way in which she is being dissected is a wonder to behold.

She prosecuted people, knowing that there were serious flaws with the system and then denied it. I'm sure that her victims will be able to see her prosecuted for malicious prosecution, as well as possibly misfeasance in a public office.

sprigatito · 22/05/2024 11:11

What time did she start giving evidence? Just wondering how much I've missed.

littlbrowndog · 22/05/2024 11:13

Bout 10 am

sprigatito · 22/05/2024 11:13

Oh great, haven't missed much then. Cheers

It was just before 10am @sprigatito - they had a fire drill just after it started so it was paused for a few minutes!

EggcornAcorn · 22/05/2024 11:15

Shell-backed mendacious creature is a perfect description.

RoseBucket · 22/05/2024 11:16

I’ve been watching it on TV whilst working, I think she only feels sorry for herself sadly. Her apology didn’t seem sincere.

Sausagenbacon · 22/05/2024 11:17

I think she must be shocked to find herself in this situation

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like I can listen from the beginning on BBC Sounds.

FatAndFiftySomething · 22/05/2024 11:25

I never listen to 5live and I’m unfamiliar with the programmes there. Do I start listening halfway through Nicky Campbell?

frankentall · 22/05/2024 11:25

I really hope that if I was in a similar position, I could find it in my heart to admit what I did was wrong. Then again, I will never be so high up in an organisation, partly because I am not usually a lying mendacious bastard.

Sausagenbacon · 22/05/2024 11:27

I was listening on nicky Campbell, but now watching on YouTube

Here on the BBC news webpage is the live broadcast.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/05/2024 11:31

The barrister has the patience of a fucking saint and he’s worth every penny he’s getting for this. I’m organising my shit tip bookcases and keep having to stop to listen to her bare faced lies. It’s astonishing.

What a year for inquiries.

Blackcats7 · 22/05/2024 11:31

It’s live on channel 4

EggcornAcorn · 22/05/2024 11:41

Yes it does sound far too shallow, Ms Vennels. 'Oh I'm so sorry'.

Pfft.

EggcornAcorn · 22/05/2024 11:42

More crying. Boo hoo.
