Bang her up. Bitch.

whensmynexthol1day · 22/05/2024 12:30

Does anyone know if there is a podcast doing a daily update on the trial? I listened to one on Lucy letby which did an hour or two on each day in court- I'd be interested in listening to a similar format for this.
I have listened to the very good bbc podcast that was pre trial

I seriously think she should book in with her GP for a memory test...

It’s amazing she remembered to turn up today.

Jc2001 · 22/05/2024 12:31

It's uncomfortable for her but I doubt there will be any real repercussions for her. She's basically got away with destroying hundreds of people's lives while simultaneously preaching to her congregation about truth and honesty.

It makes you feel sick. God knows what those affected by it must feel when she offers her faux apologies.

the80sweregreat · 22/05/2024 12:32

Jc2001 I agree. Nothing will happen to her

TheChosenTwo · 22/05/2024 12:32

I’m a bit behind as I’ve got it on in the background while working, I’m furious. Her non existent memory, “I don’t recall that” are pathetic, no ownership of anything. It’s like asking a 5 year old if they ate all the biscuits - “I can’t remember”. Bullshit.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 22/05/2024 12:32

Quirkyme · 22/05/2024 12:28

@TorroFerney

He just paused and looked at her

It's to be expected, isn't it? Tears, shaking, all the usual responses.

I'm waiting for her to blame her deliberate acts and attitudes upon peri and being a Christian Woman in a nasty heathen menz environment once she's worked out that she can't wriggle out of culpability by denying everything. She's already started on that with the 'I can't remember', IMO.

Quirkyme · 22/05/2024 12:33

Oh my gosh. His lines. He always has good ones.

"Can I just test you on your logic"

I need to remember this one

🤣

Prawncow · 22/05/2024 12:34

Blaming poor governance when you are the CEO and therefore (share) the responsibility for the bloody governance!

the80sweregreat · 22/05/2024 12:35

I'm sure having her various emails in paper form in front of her may start to ' ring a bell ' maybe ??
🤔

MikeRafone · 22/05/2024 12:35

When I was working a colleague with a legal degree once said to me

never ever write down what you wouldn't want read out in court

at least PV had some decency to say - I should never have written that in the email about the poor man who had committed suicide

Viviennemary · 22/05/2024 12:36

Will she go to prison. People think not. I think if she is responsible then she should.

ArrrMeHearties · 22/05/2024 12:37

I've watched literally 2 minutes of the BBC coverage and she's giving me the rage. A local man is caught up in this shit show as an ex postmaster. I hope on his behalf and every other person affected this evil bitch gets what she deserves

MikeRafone · 22/05/2024 12:37

Will she go to prison. People think not. I think if she is responsible then she should

is this inquiry to see whether people were at fault - which could then lead to a criminal case?

Arraminta · 22/05/2024 12:37

the80sweregreat · 22/05/2024 12:00

Vile evil piece of work :(
Dunno how she can look at herself in the mirror

She can't. She doesn't have a reflection.

I am a little bit in love with the barrister, he is taking her apart evil bit by evil bit. I hope PV is horribly traumatised by this and never knows another day of peace.

Harassedevictee · 22/05/2024 12:38

Started watching late so working my way through. Just got to the Judge being dripped on 😂.

So the briefing notes don’t match up to the minutes of the parliamentary meeting. Leaving a gap of how PV could state all the prosecutions were successful when they clearly were not. The “fingers in the till” is awful.

Quirkyme · 22/05/2024 12:38

@MikeRafone

A lot of people are utterly stupid.

What people put in emails or do in recorded team meetings, honestly, is shocking.

I'm actually convinced some don't care.

It's often people in positions of "power" who do this. They've got away with it for too long, and think it'll never catch up to them and no one will report it

Meadowfinch · 22/05/2024 12:39

IMHO, if ever there was someone who should be in gaol, it's PV. She sent 'little people' to prison, wrecked their lives, while knowing full well they were innocent. And all to protect her own corporate image.

She disgusts me.

Sausagenbacon · 22/05/2024 12:39

When are they starting again? I heard 20 to, is that 20 to 2? I really need to go for a walk but don't want to miss anything.

That's where the incoming Peri Defence will morph into the Ernest Saunders Approach.

People don't realise they can be held to account for what they have said - its not just the likes of Joey Barton either

I think this is a quck break, then they resume, then break for lunch

Pinkjarblujar · 22/05/2024 12:41

Can someone tell me if she definitely lied?

ExpressCheckout · 22/05/2024 12:43

I'd also like her to be prosecuted and jailed. Sadly, as is typical in these cases, she will likely worm her way out of it.

Many, many people, particularly those of us who've worked in the public sector, will have met many 'Paulas' in our careers.

This is a cabal of truly awful, vindicative, calculating and none too bright people who rotate around the senior echelons of the public sector.

This particular specimen was also Chair of an NHS Trust. And we don't have to look far to other very recent cases to see other examples like this ...

No, important well paid people in senior positions never go to prison for anything. They are part of the establishment setup in this Country that always ensure they get away with everything.
