Should I buy a bright pink velvet sofa

I’ve been divorced two years out of a pretty abusive relationship and finally got my own home again. Hooray! I have seen a beautiful bright pink velvet sofa but don’t know if I should buy it! I do want to meet my forever man so is it foolish buying such a girly colour? Maybe I should just go for another bright colour that isn’t pink
Am I massively overthinking this?!

Absolutely get it! We used to have a bright pink leather DFS suite. DH chose it. It was fabulous!

Yes!! My sofa in my kitchen is that colour from DFS. DH hasn’t batted an eyelid. It’s not velvet so I can shampoo it due to being the kitchen sofa though.

I can’t have a velvet sofa (we have dogs and a cat and I have an enormous arse, and a velvet sofa would be trashed in an instant), and even if I could, I think I’d struggle to persuade dh to get a bright pink one - so you need to get one so I can live vicariously through you, @Proseccodreams.

My mum has a bright red sofa with zebra print cushions, a zebra print rug and bright blue walls in her living room. A pink sofa is nothing.

The sofa in my kitchen was that colour for 10 years. I absolutely loved it.

The whole eating end of the kitchen is now painted that colour, so I have a plainer sofa.
