To think McDonald's is rubbish now.
Burgers taste different now the buns taste/look different.
Yes I know its general crap fast food, but 10 years ago you would get a cheese quarter ponder and enjoy every minute, then maybe 20 mins later think you wish you hadn't as its full of rubbish.
But now its just awful.

I bloody love a McDonalds. Their animal welfare standards are better than many, too - most places don't give a shit as long as they can flog it more cheaply.

I don't go there often but when I do I wish they'd sort their service out. Prioritising deliveries means a) restaurant customers are left waiting when often they're the ones wanting something to eat quickly and b) the place is full of pushy drivers jostling you out of their way.

It's not supposed to be gourmet food so if you don't like it, don't eat there!

They don't prioritise deliveries...

There's just loads more customers because if deliveries.

GrannyWeatherwaxsHatpin · 29/04/2024 11:36

They seem to in mine. You can tell the delivery codes rather than the restaurant order codes on the screen because they're different. Delivery codes definitely seem to clear faster than the others, plus there is still the issue of a small crowd of pushy drivers who seem to think that they've got some kind of priority pass. More than once I've literally been pushed out of the way by a driver shoving his way straight to the front shouting for an order.

puffyisgood · 29/04/2024 11:39

I don't think the food has changed very much at all, not since I first went in the late 80s.

I agree that the time it takes to get served instore has gone way downhill, and that delivery drivers are a big part of the problem.

Mcdonald s is still awful.
Good for me I guess, as if it was nicer I'd be going back frequently...

I disagree. It's always tasted vile.

Lopine · 16/07/2024 00:38

It was never great but due to pressure for the products to be less unhealthy, they have reformulated to reduce salt, fat and sugar, which were the main reasons they tasted nice!

Acapulco12 · 16/07/2024 00:40

Coming in to say I love chicken selects too much to agree with you. Sorry.

Aquarius1234 · 16/07/2024 00:43

Yes now its less greasy maybe. Less cheesy.
The point was after a night out or long journey a Mcdonald s was a guilty pleasure.
I never enjoy it now. It's grim and expensive.
There isnt that greasy burger taste of 10/ 15 years ago.
It's completely different.
Buns weren't shiny and fries were not half brown.

I don’t know if this is all McDonald’s or I’ve just been unlucky recently, but they don’t seem to carbonate their drinks anymore? A Maccies coke used to be heavenly, the last few I’ve had have been flat and gross.
I will only begrudgingly eat in occasionally now. The last few deliveries I’ve had have been cold, missing items and just. Shit! Can’t help but think the staff half arse the delivery orders because they know they’re not going to have to face the dissatisfied customers 🙄

FanofLeaves · 16/07/2024 06:47

I confess to have taken my last two double cheeseburgers home, keeping them wrapped and zapping them in the microwave for 25 seconds to achieve the congealed cheesy goodness of old 😂
