To think McDonald's is rubbish now.
Burgers taste different now the buns taste/look different.
Yes I know its general crap fast food, but 10 years ago you would get a cheese quarter ponder and enjoy every minute, then maybe 20 mins later think you wish you hadn't as its full of rubbish.
But now its just awful.

Think I agree in that it's soooo expensive now.

I used to take my kids for a treat when they were little but now I'd rather take them to a proper restaurant where they can have the same stuff at only a little more cost and it be actually proper food.

And it's really slow because of all the Just Eat deliveries they do.

Heaven knows why anyone could eat a sweaty, take away McDonald's from the back of a bike. The joy of it is that it's piping hot.

I love a McDonalds sausage and egg McMuffin. And the occasional nuggets or quarter pounder. All tastes fine to me, but there's huge snobbery about eating McDonalds food which I find ridiculous. A sugary latte and a big fat muffin in a coffee shop is no better for you.

Their breakfasts are still 👌 but I'm not overly impressed with the rest of it any longer.

BK is better but ridiculously expensive, I can't stand the taste of five guys.

We are having a maccies for tea tonight. The first one since they changed their buns.

i have a strong suspicion warbutons are supplying them with their vegan brioche burger buns. Which are absolutely vile, like a cake but with a study bread texture.

I made homemade burgers with them and nobody ate the buns, reminded me of when I had a novelty burger at one of those BBQ places, and the bun was a crispy krem doughnut

For the first time ever last year the chips tasted different and I thought ‘ah here we go!’ and then back to normal! Personally still love it (but we haven’t gone for a long while as cost has gone up)

I miss the days of the Rack...

You'd go in when it was a bit quiet, get to the till and you could see what was ready and waiting on the warming rack..
If you ordered what was there, you'd be out of there and munching within minutes. 🤣

Nope. Didn’t enjoy 30sec 10 years ago and still don’t. Occasionally it’s literally the only ‘meal’ food available on long road trips so I have it in these instances and it’s just as vile as it’s always been. I’m in Australia though, maybe we just went on the downside decades before you?

Agree! 25 years ago it was a big treat. Something worth driving to the out of town place where I lived. Now I open the carton and am presented with a burger that looks like it has been run over, tastes too sweet and I am hungry soon after finishing it.

I think it's the same as it ever was. It's fine. But then I think chocolate is the same as it was as well and where some people might be able to taste a difference a lot of people think they can because they've been told it's all rubbish now.

They make the burgers to order now so you don’t get them sat under a hot plate wrapped up in paper. I miss this because they were usually hot and the cheese was properly melted and sometimes you got to pick congealed cheese off the paper. Now they’re just slapped together to get out to the customer straight away it’s nowhere near as good!

Never got the fuss about nuggets, they’ve always tasted bland to me.

Salt is the key. These foods rely on it to be tasty

They use brioche buns now, rather than the normal bread ones.
I hate brioche. Too sweet and dry and certainly doesn't go with a burger in my opinion.

Their fries used to be perfection. Crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, salted and hot. Now they are inedible. They had to change their menu to reduce fat snd salt.

We were saying this the other day, nearly 30 quid for four meals plus delivery. Wasn’t worth the money. The teenagers love them though 😀

Now we've found 5 guys it seems much superior (but also way more expensive)
