To go out in my Christmas pj bottoms

Howcananyonehatereading · 27/03/2024 14:06

Would you go out for a dog walk in xmas pj pyjamas and coat over?
V busy few days with egg hunts for Dd, shopping, school things to organise etc
We’re on Easter holidays, it’s rainy on and off, cold and v windy, but my dog desperately needs to go out.
Would you throw a coat on and walk to the nearby green/woods (it’s two houses down and highly unlikely I will encounter anyone)

YANBU. Some of pyjamas look like casual wear, especially the black ones. Very handy for popping out in an emergency.

idontlikealdi · 27/03/2024 14:07

I would have changed into leggings in the time it took you to write that post! If they were plain yes, but not Christmas ones at easter!

Howcananyonehatereading · 27/03/2024 14:07

@idontlikealdi 😂 I really cba, too tired

Why wouldn’t you just put on trousers?!? Particularly if it is cold and wet, it only takes a few seconds.

MurderousCheekbones · 27/03/2024 14:08

Nope, never ever ever

BreakfastAtMimis · 27/03/2024 14:09

It would take you one minute to put some jeans on and save your PJs from getting wet and muddy!

midlifeattheoasis · 27/03/2024 14:09

YABVU. How much effort is it to put some jeans on?!

pootlin · 27/03/2024 14:09

I have a pair of baggy fleece sweatpants from Lands’ End that slip over pyjamas. Very convenient and also very toasty having two layers.

Mrssheepskin · 27/03/2024 14:09

Er no..

CeeceeBloomingdale · 27/03/2024 14:10

No, I'd spend 5 seconds getting fully dressed

Not too tired to go for a dog walk though. Just put some leggings or trackies on

PossumintheHouse · 27/03/2024 14:12

Are you taking PJs adorned with Christmas trees and flashy baubles or a pair of red PJ bottoms?
If there's anything specifically Christmassy you're going to look like a right Wally.

BCBird · 27/03/2024 14:13

It's a no from me, although it does happen in my area from.time to time🙄

GalileoHumpkins · 27/03/2024 14:13

Nope, put some proper trousers on, they'll be warmer for one thing.

WhatTheFuckIsThat · 27/03/2024 14:13

Very lazy

Devilsmommy · 27/03/2024 14:14

I'd do it, but then I really don't give a toss what people think 😆

Youcannotbeseriousreally · 27/03/2024 14:14

i would never ever leave the house in anything but proper clothes. Don’t understand at all that getting dressed is too hard. Too lazy , yes, too difficult, no.

mondaytosunday · 27/03/2024 14:15

My son has several of those plaid flannel pj bottoms. He wears them out when doing errands. Not Christmassy though, which definitely would identify them as jammies. Dog walk fine, going to the shops - no.

Revelatio · 27/03/2024 14:15

You’re going to have to change them anyway as they’ll be muddy? Or are you planning on going back to bed in them?

Are you going to the loo at all today? You’ll have to pull them down and back up then, not much different to just putting a pair of normal trousers on.

EmilyPlay · 27/03/2024 14:16

I doubt anyone would care. If you have a coat and boots on it hardly matters if your trousers have Christmas trees or whatever on.

MenoBabe · 27/03/2024 14:17

Me too

Rickrolypoly · 27/03/2024 14:18

How hard is it to put on a pair of leggings?

Verv · 27/03/2024 14:18

Honestly, youre taking the dog out in the pissing rain.
Nobody is going to give a shit, and those who do seem to be convinced that because they dress to appease the eyes of others, you need to do the same because your dog needs a wee.

This is the point of your thread. You cant be arsed. Imagine if everyone couldnt be arsed.

I would say do what the hell you like but dont be offended if others who can be arsed think you are lazy

BoohooWoohoo · 27/03/2024 14:19

I wouldn’t go out in pjs but would wear Christmas ones all year round.
