To go out in my Christmas pj bottoms

Howcananyonehatereading · 27/03/2024 14:06

Would you go out for a dog walk in xmas pj pyjamas and coat over?
V busy few days with egg hunts for Dd, shopping, school things to organise etc
We’re on Easter holidays, it’s rainy on and off, cold and v windy, but my dog desperately needs to go out.
Would you throw a coat on and walk to the nearby green/woods (it’s two houses down and highly unlikely I will encounter anyone)

I wouldn’t but mainly because whenever I do that kind of thing you can guarantee half the people I know will happen to wander past.

chocolatelover91 · 27/03/2024 14:21

Just get dressed, ffs!

Are you taking PJs adorned with Christmas trees and flashy baubles or a pair of red PJ bottoms?
If there's anything specifically Christmassy you're going to look like a right Wally.

I've got Christmas leggings I'm still wearing at the gym.

waftabout · 27/03/2024 14:28

I'd think you were attention seeking. It takes 30 seconds to put on a pair of leggings or plain tracksuit bottoms.

Not only would you feel the need to go out in the Christmas bottoms but you also needed to have a thread about how tired/busy/wacky you are.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 27/03/2024 14:30

I would throw over a pair of baggy tracksuit bottoms to go out - keeps your PJs clean if nothing else!

But I don’t care what others do.

This is the point of your thread. You cant be arsed. Imagine if everyone couldnt be arsed.

I would say do what the hell you like but dont be offended if others who can be arsed think you are lazy

Well obviously it's the end of the world if some random strangers think your lazy😱

StarlightLady · 27/03/2024 14:33

YANBU, your body, your life, but some may view you as a tad strange.

crochetmonkey74 · 27/03/2024 14:36

I don't care personally but I would worry you are feeling a bit low if even putting trousers on seems too much (been there and I wasn't well)

Dryt · 27/03/2024 14:37

Highly unreasonable. Why are you not in your Easter pyjamas?

WhatWhereWho · 27/03/2024 14:39

It takes a few seconds to put something else on though.

Catza · 27/03/2024 15:01

I feel as though seasonal print is irrelevant. I’d never worn PJs past breakfast and certainly wouldn’t entertain going out in them.

Howcananyonehatereading · 27/03/2024 15:09

@PossumintheHouse These 🤣

Is it weird I don’t really care

Chickenwing2 · 27/03/2024 15:11

Of course. You can do and wear whatever you like.

Since getting my dog I always wear trackies, leggings or black pj bottoms so I can nip out for walks without changing 😁

Also I see people walking their dog in pj bottoms all the time, no judgement! It's responsible to take the dog out!

Youdontevengohere · 27/03/2024 15:11

No, I’d have put my trousers on instead of writing this thread.

Oh come on someone wearing Xmas trousers for a dog walk is hardly the crumbling of society 😄

Howcananyonehatereading · 27/03/2024 15:13

@Sparklesocks 😂

You can't be "too busy" to get dressed, op. Give over.

Howcananyonehatereading · 27/03/2024 15:14

I would never EVER go to a shop in pjs 🥺I’m talking about a patch of green/woods a couple of steps from my home
Good point about possibly getting them wet though, so I will have to put jeans on
Nobody ever had a very lazy day?!

Lol no you're so unique and quirky OP, you're not like other girls. Is that what you want to hear? I took the dog out earlier and was soaked to the skin after so had to do a full change, so I don't think it matters what you wear out, you'll probably be changing when you get home anyway. Has your poor dog been out yet?

Howcananyonehatereading · 27/03/2024 15:16

@innerdesign Bitchy

Smartiepants79 · 27/03/2024 15:17

Of I have lazy days.
That still wouldn’t involve leaving the house in my nightwear.
You do what you like but it’s beyond lazy and I’d actually think you were a little bit mentally unwell if I saw you in the woods, in the rain, in Christmas pjs, in March.

Youdontevengohere · 27/03/2024 15:17

I have lots of lazy days. Takes less than a minute to put a pair of trousers on though! If you’re getting up and putting on a coat/shoes, you might as well put some trousers on too.

PutASpellOnYou · 27/03/2024 15:18

It's slovenly.
Have you no standards, lazy day or not?
Don't you at least feel better getting dressed?

Not weird at all. Don’t be a sheeple.
