Of course she is holed up somewhere and the unnamed source stating she is ‘doing well’ was underwhelming - of course they wouldn’t normally say she is recovering as expected and we will see her soon. As they always do with anything like this.

It’s fucking disturbing as it is dishonest, whilst the PR machine lurch into one crisis after another with their fingers in their ears. It’s bizarre to watch and witness.

Whatever the truth is, it can’t be any worse than the shit currently being served up as people search for the truth.

I feel sorry for Kate, she is being very badly let down and represented by the people that should be protecting her. Tell the truth and the public will respond with love and support.

The point the poster was making was that it’s not that unusual to see few royal engagements in early January, and that by the time you might have expected more, she was in recovery from surgery, with a public timeline announced. You’re inventing a mystery that isn’t there.

What are you going on about?! She's had major abdominal surgery. Perfectly normal to be given a three month recovery period. I had to take 3 months off work when I had abdominal surgery. What exactly is so incredible about this? People are just rubbing their hands with glee thinking that there is something strange, sinister and mysterious going on.

Kates surgery does not require William to give himself a three month holiday - what amounts to a third of the year. He takes the whole summer off anyway!! So you tell me! If it’s nothing to worry about HE should be working. The diary is empty!!

William hasn't taken three months off. He cancelled some engagements when she was in hospital. Then he pulled out of a personal, not work, engagement for personal reasons. I agree that's intriguing but not to the extent of the current madness. Now he's back at work (such as it is).

Your propositions are that either a) it's an outrageous dereliction of duty and he should be publicly castigated for his laziness because Kate's fine or b) she's secretly dying.

I think both a) and b) are preposterous. They're all a bit pointless at the best of times. Not showing up to a few events for a bit doesn't make him any more pointless.

I googled Prince William taking three months off because I simply don't believe it and I've seen him at public events since her surgery. There is absolutely nothing to say he's taken three months off. In fact there was an article saying he was resuming royal duties in early Feb, a week or two after Kate's surgery. So he has been doing his duties but took a week or two off after the op and then missed the memorial. Nothing about his seems sinister to me.

If K is as well as expected and recovering nicely (which I hope she is), maybe it is SHE who is calling the shots.

KP and BP might wish to update with more empathy and clarity, but maybe both she and DH have said Bog Off, no way, leave us alone and keep the peasants in the dark.

No, he was trying to repair wounds he opened up with his horrible Gaza comments. It wasn’t even scheduled.

It was planned before the time off and rescheduled. He's also been at an investiture and the BAFTAs.

Look I'm not going to argue for a second that their job is necessary or important or anything like that, but he's clearly back doing it.

It's long been known that they do the school run etc whenever possible so it's not unreasonable for him to have taken some time when she was in hospital to cover that and keep things normal for the kids, it's what most of us would do if we could (although of course many can't).

He missed one personal engagement and hasn't pulled out of any work engagements that we know of.

Ummmm the only snag is that he hasn’t been to any official events. Ah yes that small detail!

KP released an insta of 'all the things William has been up to in February' by my reckoning, he's worked a couple of hours a day, for about 4/5 days! One thing was a dinner, the other was the BAFTAS!

I don't buy into the theory that all isn't well with Kate, but really with all the resources they have, William should be pulling his finger out!
