Princess Kate?

Internet is going nuts about it, the theories are insane.

Hope she’s ok

Firstly no-one said the photo was taken last week , it was released to mark Mothers day , and secondly all photos wil be " photoshopped " to some degree or other . You are really determined to make something out of nothing OP .

They did say it was taken last week!

And no, all photos aren't photoshopped. (Respected) news outlets don't pull photos from publication for nothing. They clearly saw edits that would undermine their publishing guidelines.

That doesn't mean there's any conspiracy though, or that there was some deliberate editing to hide something controversial or sinister.

Leave them alone! Mind your own business. She had an op, she is recovering. She does not want to talk about it. Medical information is PRIVATE. All this is simply adding their stress.

Edited

I think the photo editing has added a lot to their stress!

Why do that?

Don't you? I do - it is fun to put the best version out. There is now a phone that actually advertises that you can take half a dozen group photos and move the best smile on each participant.

Are you deliberately misunderstanding the issue?

So why:

  • Issue a fake photo which was spotted immediately
  • Send a fake to a garden centre
  • Issue a fake apology about dabbling with photoshop

Just be honest from the beginning. Cancer’s shit, but faking normality is pure Death Of Stalin shit.

Anyway she’ll be back to work after Easter as all her fans have said. Right ?

Because they wanted to get their heads round it all and keep it from their own children until they felt it was the right time maybe?

Who cares? It still doesn't mean they owe us any further information about her condition. Nor was it unreasonable to try and buy some time given that her condition changed.

The Easter plan was the original one, obviously it's now changed because her prognosis changed.

Why the desire to still see this as some dreadful conspiracy?

Oh give it a rest.
And no, she probably won't be bouncing back at Easter now they've discovered she has cancer and she's undergoing chemotherapy.

But also no need to resort to weird fakery. It shows the British state is no better than North Korea or Russia. Living your life in public is part of the deal when you’re “royal” - there is absolutely no justification for having a special magic family funded by the public. If they’re there purely for PR purposes (which they are, face it there is nothing functional about them) then they are legitimately a target for criticism, especially when the fakery becomes so apparent. It’s clear that the people screaming “fake” were right. I think the whole artifice should now be dismantled, this episode has blown massive holes in the whole concept of “royal” people.

ColleenDonaghy · 23/03/2024 08:36

The only fake was the mother's day photo, at a point when we now know they were reeling. It was a mistake but an understandable one.

I mean you can care continue to give it that much headspace if you like. Seems a bit tiring to be that angry about it all.

I've always been ambivalent about the monarchy. Still am. But I suspect that far from blowing holes in anything sympathy for Kate will make them all a million times more popular.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr · 23/03/2024 08:42

I would find it insane if watching these people get immediate access to good quality care while thousands sit in waiting lists make them popular. But there’s a lot of insanity associated with this cult.

For goodness sake, get a grip.

The mothers day photo was edited, not fake, although I know some people are still desperate to believe otherwise. Kate gave an explanation for the editing but people were not satisfied with that.

It has been confirmed that it was Kate and William at the farm shop. If the people in the photograph had been lookalikes it would not have had anything to do with KP, it would probably have been grifters looking to cash in on the insane speculation about where Kate was. It certainly made TMZ money.

We were told the PoW was having surgery and would not be undertaking any public engagements before Easter. We have now been updated.

The comms from KP have been fine, people just think it's been handled poorly because the PR people weren't running around like headless chickens denying every batshit conspiracy theory that gripped the internet.

You do not have a right to the private medical information of members of the RF.

For the love of god, please leave the poor woman alone.

Has the garden centre video even been verified of them attempting to suggest Kate was out and about? Or even proved to have been filmed from the last few weeks?

or anything connected to them?

How was a it a fake apology?

Sure. But also loads of rich people get access to healthcare and education that others don't. There are hideous inequalities that are far from confined to the royals.

On the flipside my mum last year went from first symptoms of possible cancer to surgery and all clear within 3 months. All NHS, no jumping of any lists. It happens.

Horseshit. My mum is being treated for breast cancer now. She didn't know she had it, a routine mammogram found it. Called her in 2wks after the mammogram for more scans, then surgical excision of the tumour within 3 weeks, now 2 weeks for the chemotherapy treatment plan to begin due to the sample being sent out to the USA for some unknown reason, then chemo and radiotherapy begins. From the beginning of this it's been just 7wks for a cancer she didn't even know was there.

It's been spectacular by the NHS so far. Same speedy treatment and help for my mates dad with bowel cancer, except his still killed him in the end.

LoadsToLose · 23/03/2024 09:58

@NCForQuestions Yes, I agree it’s horseshit… NHS amazing for cancer once it’s suspected. Exact same experience and timescales for my mums breast cancer- also no symptoms discovered during mamogram.

I’ve been really impressed with the NHS.. although the consultant was frustrated by delays in test results after the operation. Another family member has had quicker diagnosis than the 2 weeks waiting… actually beating private medical appointments offered!

Her parents are with her - this is not unexpected. Up to now I had thought she was seriously ill, but what do I know? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Looks like your source is shit, hope you both feel like bloody ashamed now.

I was treated for cancer in the NHS. Diagnosed and had surgery within 4 weeks. Absolutely excellent, quick and efficient care from diagnosis to years of follow up. I simply couldn't have got better care privately and I know many other people with similar experiences.

bellocchild · 23/03/2024 13:41

"But also no need to resort to weird fakery." What 'fakery'? Most of the world's photographers use Photoshop in post-production: I do myself, and I'm 75 and seriously not a photographer! But it is really useful to be able tidy up pics you want to share or keep.

First 3 lots of cancer I was dealt with quickly. This one had chemo quickly which didn't work then spent 5 months waiting on immunotherapy. If I had been operated on I might have been cured, sadly, its now management.

The swivel from "Aha! Dastardly deeds, there's something afoot and no mistake!" to "Well, she might be ill but I think it's wrong if she's getting treatment just because she's Royal and rich" has been quite something to behold.
