Princess Kate?

Internet is going nuts about it, the theories are insane.

Hope she’s ok

I don't care. If she's not well enough to be on public view she's not well enough.

I wish people would confine their so called concern to the Royal Family forum though.

It does make you wonder though, so many weird things with the RF at the mo

No it doesn't.

Collywobblewobbles · 29/02/2024 13:59

Oh for goodness sake.

She's allowed to recover in privacy without popping out to wave to the press or drop updates about how she's doing.

Oh yes OP , incredibly strange , I mean who would have thought surgery and cancer treatment could happen at the same time in one family !

It's what you have posted about ! .

Youd think she'd just unexpectedly disappeared with no explanation. The Palace made her recovery timetable clear. Why would you (and the conspiracy nutters) assume she's doing anything other than as they said, recovering at home 🙄

Another Shelly Miscavige!

Nope doesn't make me wonder in the slightest. Its in line with what the Palace announced

There's nothing weird going on. 2 senior Royals are unwell at the same time. That's unfortunate. PW missed an engagement the other day, maybe he had a dodgy stomach.

Just all seems very normal, unless you have a tin hat

It's refreshing to see the posts on here are actually all sensible & not subscribing to any of the nonsense on Twitter etc

viques · 29/02/2024 14:07

@Amillionmenwenttomowameadow Why would a woman who has presumably had something seriously wrong with her ( I think we are well past fibroids, ovarian cysts and other standard gynae stuff) that has required surgery and a two week stay in hospital, want to give updates on her health to a slavering nation?

Especially since she has three young children ,two of whom can read well enough to see what would be written in the tabloids if she disclosed her illness. If it is serious then she will, like any parent, inform her children appropriately about her health as and when she wants, or needs to ,and should not have to worry about them being unintentionally told of their mothers health issues because people who she has never met think it is their right to know.

I don’t care a fig about the RF , and think that in general matters they need to be open about their lives, but I think that health issues are their personal business and they have the right to privacy about them.

FatOaf · 29/02/2024 14:11

Is the media short of news?

The media aren't interested in news. They're interested in whipping up mania about slebs/immigrants/"woke"/etc. so they can get more clicks on their piles of electronic shit.

I don't give a toss whether Princess Kate is alive or dead, but there are plenty of people who will click on any theory that denies the most likely thing: that she's recuperating from uncomplicated surgery.

Illsendanemail · 29/02/2024 14:13

You know full well where she is. She recovering from surgery. Why do you feel you need to know any more.

SallyWD · 29/02/2024 14:15

DowntonCrabby · 29/02/2024 13:36

At home, recovering, out of the public eye, as we were told she would be until after Easter.

Exactly, We were told at the very beginning that she'd be recovering until after Easter. Why's everyone coming up with all these bizarre conspiracy theories? Nothing's changed, no new information. People just love to gossip.

Geebray · 29/02/2024 14:17

OverdramaticAndTrue · 29/02/2024 13:48

Do you comment on them all to say they should be moved to relationships, parenting, education or whatever?

Only when they're unpleasant, speculating ones like this. If people want to join in, that's what the Royal Family forum is for.

Although personally I think Mumsnet made a mistake in introducing AIBU. AITA on Reddit is much better run.

Fedupofcommodes · 29/02/2024 14:21

She's joined mumsnet as @Amillionmenwenttomowameadow and is starting rumours about where she is to add excitement. 😀

Herdinggoats · 29/02/2024 14:24

I think the Royal Family are proving they won’t be bullied into statements or appearances by wild speculation and conspiracy theorists. They said she would be taking a break until after Easter, why on earth should she pushed into putting out a statement and picture when she is recovering just to appease the crazies?

Wishimaywishimight · 29/02/2024 14:25

Lying on the sofa, watching daytime TV, working her way through the kids Easter eggs...

Cazpar · 29/02/2024 14:26

This proves that a fairly significant portion of our adult population have the mindset of a toddler.

RF: "She won't be back til Easter".

The great intelligentsia, several weeks before Easter: "Where IS she???!"

RobinStrike · 29/02/2024 14:50

I imagine given the oldest 2 children are capable of reading newspapers and online they don't want horror stories regarding whatever ails her spread across the media. The children will be upset enough if she's recovering without having media stories on worst case scenarios everywhere. It makes sense to keep whatever her surgery is off the front pages.

What on earth are you on about? We all know that life can be really turbulent at times and I have had periods in my life when I just think what else is going to go wrong, crisis after crisis with no respite and then on to smoother waters for a while, it's just life isn't it. You're clearly a conspiracy theorist rather than someone who just accepts that 'stuff happens'

What makes you wonder?

What weird things?

notagainski · 29/02/2024 15:43

There are two threads, both now 40 pages long, discussing this in detail entitled Prince William's absence. The first thread started with discussing why Prince William dropped out of his Godfather's memorial for "personal reasons" and after some initial chat about him having the shits, the thread moved on to a lot of discussion about Kate and whether she is dead or not.
Why don't you pop over there and have a look at people's ideas on there?

I think the conclusion is that she has died and is under the terrace, hence the massive cover up.

notagainski · 29/02/2024 15:44

Another conclusion is that she's in bed at home recuperating and having a laugh trolling mumsnet. I suspect she might be the poo troll - but who knows.

It really, really doesn't.

Achillo · 29/02/2024 15:48

Tom Bower just said in an interview that he knows what the illness was, was extremely serious and that her recovery will take longer than they had predicted.
I imagine they will have to release a statement over the next few weeks, to give some semblance of things being under control.
