To ask if anyone has this awful virus at the moment?

I can't remember feeling so unwell before. I'm coughing up horrible green stuff (sorry tmi), my throat is agony, my chest really hurts when I cough, I have zero appetite, haven't eaten properly in 6 days now, and instead of getting better I'm feeling a bit better one day and then 20x worse the next. I've tried to keep going at work this week despite feeling so awful so maybe that hasn't helped, I've possibly pushed myself too far. I'm at home today and feeling absolutely rotten. Im in tears with the pain all over my body and my throat and chest 😢

Anyone else got this ?? It's absolutely floored me. I've called the GP and they're ringing me back this afternoon but in all honesty they'll probably just say it's viral and I have to ride it out. 😢

I’ve had them twice they are really good I asked for them today but the doc said no!! Wasent a very nice doctor to be honest was so rude!!

How is everyone feeling? I still feel like utter shit and I am in bed, when is this going to end?

I was out flat with the virus for 5 weeks and it was only when given antibiotics that I started to feel better. A week after finishing them I’m almost back to normal though I still like a little nap in the afternoon.

I have heard about malaise which I think that’s what I have also. So depressing at the moment especially when I can’t be a proper mam to the kids with being unwell! They are 8 and 11 and have been so good which is a plus. My dad had d and v last week so I’m assuming I’ve caught that off him. I just hope to god if my kids decide to catch it I’m better so I can look after them!! Thank you xx

I have it. Everything aches. Feel like utter crap and keep staring at negative Covid tests in disbelief.
Have had the oddest taste of grapefruit in my mouth for days. The nights are the worst! And the ‘malaise’ really resonates… Today my whole abdomen is agony after a night of endless coughing and windpipe is on fire.

Ok so this is weird. I was on this thread a couple of weeks ago. DH had awful cough, had antibiotics that cleared it after an exhausting 3 weeks. I got a mild version the week after , no gp needed. Finally better at end of last week save a few coughing attacks out of the blue. Now this weekend I have a razor blade throat and now DH does too! What is going on?

I had a razor blade throat yesterday, but today I have completely lost my voice.

Snot, increasingly mucus-y cough and no voice.

I work answering the phones and I've already had a day off with this or another stupid bug the week before last

So after the two rounds of antibiotics (amoxicillin and then Doxycycline) and two full weeks off work, the cough cleared and I was able to get back to work (WFH) and do the school run with kids etc. Felt better last week and almost like I might be getting back to normal.

Predictably the kids have been bringing home all kinds of coughs and colds so I'm beginning to feel rough again. Went for a short walk with DS earlier (to chemist to get some Canestan Duo to treat the savage thrush I've now got after all those antibiotics) and was so breathless when I got back. Been coughing a bit all day. It's not as chesty and nothing is coming up but I feel a bit ropey. Terrified it's all going to come back! Going to get an early night and take it really easy working tomorrow.

After nearly 4 weeks of being I'll I am finally beginning to feel better and my normal self! Never had anything like this in my life !

I'm the same, felt really rough ( on and off) since Boxing Day- turned the corner now so hoping no more dips.

I can't speak for coughing and my nose is blocked...

I suspect many of you do have / have had Covid. DH had these symptoms recently, starting with a razor blade throat. Then aching all over, hot and cold flushes, terrible cough and complete lack of energy. He was really poorly for around 3 weeks and ended up needing antibiotics for a chest infection. He tested negative for Covid for several days before testing positive.

@cathyandclaire fingers crossed 🤞 you are on the better side- on the positive side ( I try to always be positive) I got on the scales today and had lost quite a bit of weight 😂possibly as I was vomiting I was coughing that much!🙈always a silver lining - I hope everyone gets better soon I have never had virus/ bacterial infection like this in my life I'm 45 .

I've tested negative throughout.

I'm testing at least once a week

I think I've developed a second virus on top of the one I've already had.

My eyes are glueing together with conjunctivitis which someone else had with their cold.

And I can taste my new eye drops 🤢

I went for a walk and now I'm stuck on a bench at the shopping centre

I am soo tired...
