DH has started our new one and is randomly putting middle pieces together.

AIBU to LTB immediately and fill in the sectioning paperwork.

I do jigsaws and always do centre pieces randomly but my partner always starts with the edges too!

What!? I assume everyone started with the edges. Like painting a wall...edges first, then fill it in. What a freak. Definitely LTB.

My DH looked a bit baffled when I gently pulled him up on his weird random middle starting when we did our first (and only) jigsaw together.
He likes custard as well, we are barely compatible.

Maybe he’s just doing the easy bits of eye-catching colour!

Though have to admit, I sometimes start in the middle for an extra challenge if it’s a puzzle I've done before.

Also on some jigsaws, there’s a regular pattern all round the edge or it’s completely plain, so putting it together is just sheer trial and error and it’s easier to start elsewhere.

My ds 9 cannot for love nor money do a jigsaw..

I'll pick the corners out of my new one, but seeing as the edges and background are just black, I thought I might start with the colourful middle.

I set it up ready to go, got waylaid by teenagers yelling for food and when I came back, that was the hellish sight I was faced with.

I have had to have a medicinal glass of wine (or two) to recover.

I usually start with the edges but my last one had a plain blue edge all the way round. I ended up starting with a skein of geese flying across the sky and worked outwards from there. First time ever not starting with the edges, though.

No fun if you make it too easy. Edges last, and no looking at the picture!

What's sort of person does a jigsaw full stop. They drive me completely mad. What is the point ??? And what do you do with them when you are finished ? And storing kids jigsaws without getting bits lost or mixed up. Arrrghhhhhh

Someone bought me one of these last Christmas I think and I didn’t even open it, it just looked spectacularly boring!! I need a nice picture 😂
