Clive and Iuliia Gurzhii were all over the news for 3 days in August, after idiotically going to give birth on a beach a long way from home.
The birth was unwitnessed and very odd circumstances.
I googled them and all I could find was a gofundme (never saw that one coming!!) - it raised GBP128 out of an ambitious target of GBP15.000.

Do you think they are still out there?

I mean... 8 years is a big old gap for a couple to deliberately leave between children. It makes me wonder if they had secondary infertility and then of course that makes me wonder if the baby is really theirs or not....

Surely, surely you'd just agree to a bloody DNA test in order to not lose custody of your toddler? Because if they really won't agree to a DNA test then either the baby isn't theirs, or they're so insanely wedded to their paranoid beliefs that they shouldn't ever be allowed care of a child again.

Yes big age gap between children. They are both the parents of first daughter as there was a newspaper article of them both in crash with eldest daughter when Clive was convicted of dangerous driving.
The baby may or may not be theirs. They have been found to be involved in people smuggling so it’s not outside realms of possibility that the baby has been acquired illegally, perhaps child of a trafficked woman.
My hunch is baby is at least Yulias but who knows.
DNA test would sort it but I can understand why Clive isn’t up for that with his beliefs, giving a sample to a government agency is against everything he stands for.

I thought Yulia might start cooperating once away from his influence or control.

They can test the sibling if she consents and they have a court order, and could determine at least if they are half or full siblings or not at all.

Remember Constance marten who lost care of her newborn because she refused to take a Covid test on retuning to hospital? I can definitely believe they are dogmatic and narcissistic enough to refuse a DNA test even if she is their biological child.
As a social worker I've seen many parents lose contact with their children because they won't do some really simple and basic stuff.

The eldest is 11. She ran away when social services called to do a welfare check (been taught to fear/avoid authorities?) I’d assume she’s been fully indoctrinated by Clive. I doubt she would agree to a test.

Does Clive genuinely think he's helping himself with this rambling misspelled bobbins? Going on this as a window into his thinking he doesn't seem in touch with reality enough that he is safe to look after himself, let alone child/ren.

It's interesting that Yulia is said to still be in the Caymans and Clive here, when he got the longer sentence, does that mean she's stayed because the baby is there and they won't consent for DNA testing on the baby, so the baby can't be taken out of the country as it has no passport? If she's there what funds is she living on?

This is the story that keeps on giving! But those poor kids :(

I think the timeline was Elizabeth then age 8 had been left in March with Auntie (yulias sister) After they went to press with sob story / go fund me I think social services did a welfare check as at that point the child had been abandoned by both parents for several months. Clive came back as social services were now involved but then headed back to Yulia/baby and boat/people smuggling enterprise.
