Clive and Iuliia Gurzhii were all over the news for 3 days in August, after idiotically going to give birth on a beach a long way from home.
The birth was unwitnessed and very odd circumstances.
I googled them and all I could find was a gofundme (never saw that one coming!!) - it raised GBP128 out of an ambitious target of GBP15.000.

That's a point about the age gap. Thinking back to the Constance Marten/Mark Gordon case, had they been located before the baby died (or successfully fled the country), there would never have been any press coverage of the family court history with their older children. All that only came out because of the criminal trial.

So with this pair, there may be so much that just can't be published and probably never will be.

Not as far as we are aware.

However baby which wasn't born in hospital and they tried to register outside normal challenges (so could have been trafficked) AND THEN getting involved in definite trafficking is a big coincidence.

Would you know how to get in touch with a trafficker? They did.

Relatives who were babysitting were arrested on fabricated charges, forcing Clive to rush back, where he was also hunted down and arrested while trying to stop Elizabeth’s removal.

Think I missed an update somewhere - so Iuilia’s teenage sister was also arrested? And Clive came back to the UK and was arrested, then went back to the Caymans to do his people smuggling job?

I think the last we had from the UK press was that SS were concerned about Elizabeths whereabouts/who was caring for her and when they'd gone looking, she'd done a runner/been sneaked away...

So Clive had had to return... and the police/SS wanted to speak to him, understandably.

You don't get arrested for looking after a family member, or for leaving your child with a relative. It's all freeman paranoia

I think there was a kerfuffle when social workers turned up to check Elisabeth and she ran away. It’s possible Aunt was arrested if there was breach of peace etc. Clive came back to England at that point presumably to try and ensure Elizabeth could stay with relatives and not go into foster care. Mum couldn’t come back as baby had no passport so she stayed behind. Presumably Clive was happy with what arrangements were agreed with ss as he left Elizabeth again and embarked on the people smuggling run he was arrested for.

Update for you - just heard about this after I saw a rambling post from the dude on Facebook about his kids being taken away and being falsely accused etc - so did some googling.. so weird!

Thank you, that is interesting. I don't understand how their sentences were reduced, though. As if the UK courts would not punish that behaviour seriously.

The parents have been released apparently. Who knows where the youngest child is.

Clive was British, wife Yulia wasn’t.
Unsure if baby ever had DNA test.
When story initially broke they were complaining no passport for baby as born at sea in Caribbean and hadn’t gone to hospital for a week or two. They sailed on and seemed to be resisting DNA testing - perhaps due to freeman of land beliefs but also risk baby wasn’t biologically their baby and was smuggled/trafficked.
Then a year or two later they randomly dock in Cayman Islands with baby now a toddler and two smuggled Ethiopians. They were both imprisoned.
Tween female child they had abandoned in had social services involved, Clive flew back to claim she had been ‘kidnapped’ by SS before Cayman arrest.
Toddler - unsure if in orphanage in Cayman Islands or somehow brought to uk. On a human level the distress to the toddler must have been awful, Yulia was crunchy yoga type so I’d guess toddler was co sleeping and possibly still breastfeeding. Sending her to uk to relatives never met would have been traumatic plus all the lack of paperwork side. Maybe she did stay in orphanage in Cayman so parents could have contact whilst in prison.

This is awful. I remember the free birth plan ans wondering why on earth a woman who had had a baby would do that.

It sounds like he’s back in UK but Yulia and toddler still in Cayman.
The private biological property comments make me think they have still refused DNA test so still no birth certificate or passport for toddler. It sounds like there is some sort of court process ongoing re toddler to try and resolve the mess.

Their story was they wanted a free birth but no one knows if true.
It may have been a ruse to pass off a trafficked baby as their own.
A DNA test would resolve but it sounds like the couple haven’t agreed to this either for freeman of land reasons or because they know the baby isn’t biologically the child of one or both of them.
Yulia hasn’t seen her tween now teen daughter for several years.

Just re read initial article and the baby Louisa was born April 23, so she’s 3.

Reason for birth at sea and delay going to hospital probably being that they had illegals on board and had to offload them first.
