Tesco is Discontinuing My Cereal

Look, I know there are bigger problems, but damn, Tesco - it was delicious and my breakfasting heart is broken.

I kind of knew the writing was on the wall when it went up to £4 for 500g. It’s hard to prioritise granola during a cost of living crisis, but I was prepared to. Tesco has just wimped out.

AIBU to think supermarkets inflict untold suffering on their customers when they discontinue objectively delicious food?

When i was a child, farmfoods used to stock a milk and white choc swirled icecream. Me, my dad and sister loved it, and still bring it up to eachother. Been gone atleast 20 years so no idea what brand it was, but never seen any other brand do milk and white choc, and most choc icecreams have stupid syrup and choc curls etc too, i just want plain! Mint icecream without choc chips would be heaven.

Oh another thing from the 80s at Easter time - there was a version of egg a similar size to a creme egg. It was mallow and something? Delicious... but no longer available

@RhymesWithTangerine Maybe check at different Tescos, as I've just been in and there are a couple of boxes on the shelf. I suspect the others were bought by a panicked Mnetter today 🤣

@RhymesWithTangerine I have some news! Just been to Tesco and saw this - easily 10 boxes on the shelf...perhaps they are just having issues with supply at your one? That said I do live in rather a four-fucking-pounds-twenty-for-a-box-of-bastard-hamster-food-what-kind-of-mug-buys-that-shit kind of area so perhaps maybe they just have lots of stock left in mine!

Well thanks to this thread I have discovered that Hellman’s have stopped making baconnaise. Bastards.
