There is NO peer reviewed study with a decent population that examined milk composition of males with galactorrhoea. Not one.
Anyone defending this is talking HORSESHIT. What the fuck is in your head that you are defending a MAN sticking his nipple in the mouth of an infant based purely on a feeing his head? Take a good look at yourself and ask how the hell you got to this point.
No benefit to the child. NONE.
AND THE LA-LECHE LEAGUE ARE TOTALLY CAPTURED BY STONEWALL. They do not provide unbiased impartial advice, and anyone taking their "science" as fact, is a brainwashed moron.

I know - I couldn't believe how captured La Leche were.

Nanny0gg · 10/07/2023 20:02

Seeitsayitsalted · 10/07/2023 10:34

From the La Leche league

”can trans women produce breast milk? Of course, but they need to follow the correct method to develop their breasts so as to induce lactation. To do so, they need to use the same hormones naturally released during a woman's pregnancy to develop their breasts. Once they do so they can often produce enough milk to cover between 25% and 75% of a baby's nutritional needs.”

Most breastfeeding mothers cover 100% of a baby's nutritional needs before it needs to go onto solids.

So if it's only 25% it absolutely is not for the benefit of the child

FelineGood76 · 10/07/2023 20:54

Also, female breastfeeding enables mothers to release precisely the correct nutritional and fat content at the correct time in an infants growth cycle. As well as maternal antibodies.
Not remotely the same as a sweaty moob excreting God knows what.
I have no hesitation in saying anyone defending this is a brain dead handmaiden of the highest order.
With a questionable moral compass.

Helleofabore · 10/07/2023 22:09

I am appalled what some women will overlook for the sake of centering male people’s needs before infants and any female person.

It is really eye opening. Yet, those women feel they are righteous.

It just goes to show what happens when some people lack the need to critically think through these issues.

Issania87 · 12/07/2023 13:22

An issue with the breastfeeding? I mean, it is certainly strange but then breastfeeding is a womanly thing to do and they want to be women so...

But think this is abuse and a fetish? No. Several birth born females would both enjoy nipple play and breastfeed their babies. They aren't linked.

Verv · 12/07/2023 14:51

They are absolutely linked.

Females may well enjoy nipple play, as it is an erogenous zone for many.

What separates motherhood from fetish is that regardless of nipple sensation, females are not males LARPing womanhood or motherhood and weaponising an infant to validate their identities.

Helleofabore · 12/07/2023 15:12

Women are delivering nutritionally balanced food that does not contain unknown chemicals and delivers enough, usually, for that infant's full requirements. They are feeding their child, that is their number one priority. To be fair, if a woman was using their child as a sexual encounter as the focus of their breastfeeding, then I would be very concerned with that as well.

They might find it stimulating. However, I remember being so fucking tired from getting up on demand that there was no way that I was even thinking erotic thoughts. Or maybe that slips people's mind, particularly if they had a straight forward delivery and one of those magic children that sleep through early. I mean the mastitis and the painful exploding breasts (again, not something a male will get because they produce so little milk).... yeah... that was really erotic stuff.

But hey ho! A rare few women find it 'erotic' so therefore it is perfectly fine for any male to use an infant for their own needs.

I am not sure people ever think this through.

I'm not producing breast milk and my breastfeeding days are finished by over 25 years.
Now, if I ' breastfed ' a baby today, what would that say about me?
Is there a difference between me doing that today and a transman? No, there isn't.
Dress it up how you like, but for me a man putting a child to his chest in such a way is tantamount to child sexual abuse in my mind.
Just the same as it would be if I did the same to a baby today.

DogbertMcDogglesworth · 12/07/2023 15:36

In fact, I'll go one further and say that it takes the piss out of women.
Why? Because most women who breastfeed do so because they want to nourish their child, but equally, the poor mum may encounter problems along the way from getting the child to latch to cracked sore nipples and being bloody tired.
Then we have the mum's who, despite their best efforts, can't breastfeed for various reasons, which is very upsetting for them.
Yet here we are with a bloke with a baby clamped to his nipples.
How do you think that makes those poor mum's feel? Nothing like rubbing salt into a wound get!
But, you know, who cares, it's only women!
It's taking the piss and it's sickening.

16% of voting posters think OP is BU. That's an awful lots of child abuse apologists on a parenting website mainly visited by women.

Who TF are you and WTF is wrong with you?

The people who either do this or endorse it make me want to vomit.

There are plenty of resources designed to alleviate shame when women find breast feeding pleasurable due to nipple stimulation.
Thats another factor - women feel SHAME if they experience pleasure, to the point that they need to be coached not to feel shame at a bodily response.

These men celebrate, openly, eroticising the activity.

Worlds apart, but we knew that.

Yeah. I get it. But I doubt, I could be wrong, that those women are doing it for the erotic fantasy as you point out. If they are, then that is wrong. If they are feeding their child as nature intended, I can imagine it would be very distracting and it might even be distressing and unwanted. Who really wants to be sexually aroused feeding their own infant, knowing it was their infant arousing them with that infant's need for food?

People using 'but what about women', really don't think this through at all. Or they are oblivious to issues with this behaviour. Can you imagine using your baby effectively as a sex toy? Those advocating for this don't seem to have an issue with it.

Because you believe it is transphobia, yet the majority of people don't.

Care to tell us why a male with untested secretions should be encouraged to feed an infant? What other untested drugs would you be advocating that women be encouraged to use while breast feeding?

Or do you have nothing to contribute?

TheKeatingFive · 12/07/2023 19:28

The game's up. A huge amount of people are thoroughly sick of this silencing technique. Everything under the sun is 'transphobic' now. Child safeguarding, women's rights, biological fact, basic common sense.

We see this men's 'rights' movement for what it really is. Jog along now.

Don't you mean 'gestational parent' tips?

Fuckthatguy · 12/07/2023 19:48

Right let me get this straight, objecting to child sexual abuse and a man’s fetishisation of breastfeeding is transphobic?

TheKeatingFive · 12/07/2023 19:52

Oh anything that isn't unquestioningly cheering on men's fetishes is transphobic.

Its such a broad umbrella

Here's a mum tip for you - stop excusing males fetishizing motherhood. Oh here's a life one too - stop calling everything you don't like a phobia. HTH
