I absolutely adored Kefalonia.
Looking for inspiration- ideally within a 5 hor flight.
Pretty/Scenic/Romantic/Authentic/Harbour/Cobbled Streets......?

For me it was Iceland. It was simply breathtaking, and the locals were incredibly friendly.

Croatia. Dubrovnik is beautiful, so is Split.

Santorini is beautiful as well

We loved lake Garda

Sestri Levante in Liguria

Croatia and Lake Garda

Cambodia.. was absolutely breath taking

Try Kas in Turkey.

My dream is an overwater villa in the Maldives. I'll get there one day!

Koh racha yai in Thailand.

Maybe parts of Spain, the national parks with the hilltop villages, often with a castle at the top. Vast, incredible, beautiful country.

Vinales in Cuba but not a 5 hour flight…

The Dolomites are stunning and easy to get to.

Where in Kefalonia do you go ? We like the cobbled streets , harbour vibe . Another vote for Croatia.

Glencoe and the Isle of skye, Scotland. Maybe not what you're looking for but it is mind-bendingly spectacular and beats so many places I've been to abroad.

Symi in Europe.

Most of Eastern Africa is pretty spectacular too.

Hvar in Croatia
Only went there as a day trip from Split but it was breathtaking

Czesky Krumlov in Czechia. It's a few hours from Prague, a beautiful mediaeval town in stunning scenery.

I'm a big fan of Italy. The villages around Lake garda are fab and so easy to get around, amalfi coast too. Also Taormina in sicily.

Here to third the Amalfi Coast. Honestly it's simply the most picturesque of places.
