Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland 🇨🇭

Yes! Absolutely breathtaking. I was there around 25 years ago and still yearn to go back.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 08/07/2023 01:34

Sedona in Arizona. Red rocks, blue sky and green trees with hundreds of walking trails.

New Zealand’s South Island. Jackson Bay, Lake Wanaka and Key Summit of the Routeburn track were my favourite spots, but it’s hard to choose.

I went to Mykonos about 35 years ago and it was very pretty then.

DreamTheMoors · 08/07/2023 01:40

Driving Highway 1 in California.

Breathtaking.

Newjobformoremoney · 08/07/2023 01:41

Mozambique
Ponta do Ouro is amazing, but there is a the lost unspoilt place just south of xai xai called Bilene. It’s unspoilt and incredible.
There is more urbanisation going on in that area and I haven’t been for a good few years and I do wonder what it’s like now.

it’s a country with an such a sad history. The Portuguese have a lot to answer for on how they manage pulling out (but I support we have Nando’s.)

Littleroundsponge · 08/07/2023 01:41

I’ve been to 95 countries and I think Scotland more than holds its own. So many beautiful areas there. Each country has its own beauty, we’re so lucky these days to be able to travel and see places!

Yes. We have been to 60 plus and every one has educated us and shown us some beauty.

St Paul de Vence in South of France , and Sarlat in the Dordogne

Tuscan villages , Sienna , Florence and San Gimignano , narrow cobbled streets
and all soooo clean with not much litter

Analfi coast is gorgeous but so busy , positano was packed , Capri was nice but rammed too

hermioneee · 08/07/2023 07:35

I honestly think Scotland and the highlands is up there
Agree on the Amalfi coast being beautiful but as a holiday I didn't love it. Very very busy and very very expensive for the most basic (whilst very nice) food.

hammie46i · 08/07/2023 07:38

Lake Bled, Slovenia

hammie46i · 08/07/2023 07:39

hammie46i · 08/07/2023 07:39

The South Island of NZ took my breath away with its beauty

KimberleyClark · 08/07/2023 07:41

UK wise, Isle of Skye. DH and I come here every year - we are addicted.

ShinyTeeth · 08/07/2023 07:55

Vancouver. So many absolutely stunning lakes where you can go swimming in fresh and clear water, surrounded by tall trees and blue skies - really beautiful.

Lake Como, parts of Tuscany.

Crete. We hired a car for two weeks and found the most beautiful, quiet beaches. Stumbled upon lots of beautiful little towns and villages off the beaten track.

The Lake District. I forget how vast it is, it really is stunning, so green and wild - I’ve been guilty of overlooking the beautiful parts of the UK in the past.
One positive thing to come from the pandemic was we discovered so many spectacular places in the UK ( by not being able to go abroad)
Parts of Scotland are just breathtaking.

cptartapp · 08/07/2023 08:01

The Maldives. But within five hours? Iceland.

BlueBellsArePretty · 08/07/2023 08:03

Mljet in Croatia, accessible by ferry from Dubrovnik.
