Just starting a thread now in case codes start coming out at midnight or something crazy! I’m already nervous, can’t imagine what it’ll be like trying to get tickets!

When people start getting codes, update and let us know when they arrived and how you got them?

Realised that whilst I had DD's bank card I hadn't thought about having to confirm lots of money to be spent and would have needed her PIN to do that with card reader.

Will be (even) more prepared tomorrow. That will be DD's actual code too.

IDidNotSignUpForThis · 18/07/2023 13:23

It’s been a long time coming package.

thebellagio · 18/07/2023 13:28

@FlatWhiteExtraHot Yeah the fees were a pisstake

my breakdown was 3 x tickets @ £510, cancellation protection @ £33, transaction fee @ £2.85, Facility fee @10.50 and service fee at @63.75

it seemed insane.

Dementedmaw · 18/07/2023 13:29

I was 2600 in the queue at 11am and 2156 at 1pm and haven’t managed to get non package tickets 🤬 will try again at 3….

popandchoc · 18/07/2023 13:37

Managed to get to front of queue around 1.10 and managed to get 3 tickets for Wembley in Aug £170 each plus fees.

Iwasfeelingepic · 18/07/2023 14:31

Do we think TM will change the conditions again? My DH colleague got us 2 tickets on her account but she won't be with us. Does this mean we can't use them? It is so confusing and it should have been made clearer.

I think it depends on whether it was clear when the tickets were bought. I don't think it was when the pre sales tickets were available and they've put this condition in retrospectively which they can't do.

It was pre sale tickets that we got. It's ridiculous if they can get away with this.

Harrythehappypig · 18/07/2023 14:53

My DC’s friend’s mum bought the tickets for her DC and mine as part of the presale on the 10th of July. Pretty sure they used Ticketmaster. Think it was the friend’s Ticketmaster account but the mum paid for the ticket. That’s a lot of kids going to be unable to go - I would generally use a credit card to buy something like this and DC don’t have one. It’s just DC1 and friend so DC1 will just need to be replaced with the mum for the friend to be able to go.

Friend’s mum is a lawyer though so I don’t think she’ll let this one lie if it turns out to be the case.

I’d been thinking of getting one of the very expensive VIP tickets still available for other DC for Christmas (we now have a code) but I’m appalled by this, forget it.

Whisperinastorm · 18/07/2023 15:03

Just got off the waitlist for Edinburgh - so many tickets available but all at £662. It’s absolute madness.

I very much doubt they can.

The lead booker story has made the Daily Mail......

Me too! They are good tickets but £2500 for me + 2 kids including hotel? Not a chance!

GellerYeller · 18/07/2023 16:29

So I’ve just seen this in the recently added conditions: for each attendee:
i) Photo ID (valid government-issued ID, driving license, passport)
So now I have to get my child a passport to secure admission?

Gizlotsmum · 18/07/2023 16:30

It is ridiculous that they are adding terms and conditions after people have purchased

JessieEssex · 18/07/2023 16:43

Quick question ahead of me entering the bun fight tomorrow - I'm currently logged in to ticket master on my phone but would rather use my laptop tomorrow. Should I log out on my phone, delete cookies etc to be on the safe side? Or am I best sticking with my phone. Oh man I hope I sleep tonight Confused

SummaLuvin · 18/07/2023 17:03

@JessieEssex I got tickets in the presale last week with TicketMaster. I used my desktop as I am more comfortable with 'proper' sites not mobile sites or apps, and I liked that I had more screen space to see more information like seating map easily. I had no issues by not using my phone. And I didn't delete cookies or anything.

I would use your phone so you can quickly switch to 4g if they think you are a bot and have map open on laptop.

Thank you! So you were still logged in on your phone, just not using it on the site?

unicornpower · 18/07/2023 17:18

@JessieEssex i used my phone on 4G today and could’ve bought seated tickets for anfield two or three times but I wanted standing as we already have tickets for Wembley. It might not be a bunfight. Get in the wiring room 30m before and just be patient! I was number 1 in the queue super fast.

just be aware with TM that you don’t have loads of time to deliberate over seats! The clock said I had 1.30 and it kicked me out before it got to zero!

JessieEssex · 18/07/2023 17:18

@NewNovember that's what I'm wondering as I read about the 4g / WiFi issue

unicornpower · 18/07/2023 17:20

That’s waiting room @JessieEssex lol I’m not expecting you to do electrical engineering whilst you wait!

JessieEssex · 18/07/2023 17:20

@unicornpower so is the 1:30 as soon as you're in the sale or once you've selected?

SummaLuvin · 18/07/2023 17:20

JessieEssex · 18/07/2023 17:17

I didn't use my phone at all for the sale, I just used the Ticketmaster website on my desktop, but my phone was still switched on and connected to my wifi. Is that what you mean?

unicornpower · 18/07/2023 17:25

@JessieEssex itll give you options (I’ll try and attach a pic) of like standing (couldn’t get any!) seated, side seated and packages. Select which ones and the amount and it’ll allocate you them automatically. Have the map open to see them as that’s when your 1.30 starts! If you’re happy then press buy tickets and then you get 5 mins to buy them. Have your details saved ahead of time!

the pic I’ve attached is what you’ll see when you have to decide if you want them or not!
