Taylor codes- Are you ready for it?

Just starting a thread now in case codes start coming out at midnight or something crazy! I’m already nervous, can’t imagine what it’ll be like trying to get tickets!

When people start getting codes, update and let us know when they arrived and how you got them?

Everyone I know who had a pre sale code got tickets, some got 4 across multiple dates and it wasn't particularly challenging. Only anecdotal but there has to have been a big allocation especially as there weren't many codes given for this sale and still lots didn't manage to get any.

As this hasnt worked, they are all over viagogo etc for 10 times + face value.

Viagogo is full of scammers, most won't have tickets, those that do will lie about the seat number and sell multiple and there's no come back on them. The safest way to buy tickets are via ticketmaster resale and twickets- both you need proof of the tickets, resale price is capped and if you don't send the tickets in time for the show you get fined which goes to the buyer who has been scammed.

Jigslaw · 17/07/2023 16:12

But also if zero codes were needed bots would have got even more tickets, they have software that basically pillages the stocks straight away and due to the nature of them it's really hard for TM to clamp down on them.

same. might not have always been their top choice of date, venue, or area within the arena, but there was enough to go around. especially as we had access to all the sales we got a good amount of attempts.

But the stadiums and arenas end up full, and full of people who want to be there and everyone i know going to concerts havent paid over the odds for their tickets, though i imagine some do, that must be a minority? We got extra Harry Styles tickets with no drama 6 weeks before the show and we paid face value for them on ticket master? I dont see how this system is any better personally. Its just more stress and frustration

I didn't-now I feel even worse!!!

Got in to the purchase tickets bit for Wembley today but everything I clicked on said nothing available. I started with wanting 4 and went down to 3.

Nothing. DD gutted.

DIL has code for tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Exibstudent · 17/07/2023 16:43

Had chances for both Wembley and Edinburgh today. Nothing under £300 a ticket available despite being 4000 in queue. One heartbroken 11 year old DD and I've wasted a whole day

ContractQuestion · 17/07/2023 16:45

@MrsMitford3 by presale they meant last week - it seems most people that had midnight's codes for last weeks presale got tickets.

This week is general sale- which you also have to have a code for by registering a while ago. It seems that so many people who had codes today didnt get tickets.

Not that that helps at all but to clarify it's not just you!!! The presale was last week. This week is general sale and seems a nightmare :(

MrsMitford3 · 17/07/2023 16:47

@ContractQuestion thanks for clarification-that does actually make me feel less worse 😂

ContractQuestion · 17/07/2023 16:48

Fingers crossed for your DIL tomorrow!

In my circle of friends noone got codes for this week at all!

I'm not sure what you're saying? The actual price of tickets are generally below what a lot of fans are happy to pay therefore resellers target them with their bots to secure as many tickets as possible (and are usually very successful). By having pre registration and codes to purchase its cut the number of bots who can buy using the software they do by tonnes. Any gig where the demand is greater than the amount of tickets has resellers selling them on for ridiculous prices not just Taylor. This system has made attempts to cut down on them, in the US it was a huge problem which is why they've put this in place.

FeelingHotHot · 17/07/2023 18:11

Just got an email saying I am off the waitlist for Edinburgh and can now
try for tickets. I don’t want tickets for there now as I have the Cardiff tickets I want but clearly there is movement.

Dementedmaw · 17/07/2023 18:26

If anyone has Murrayfield tickets they don’t want I will happily buy them from you, I only got a code for Liverpool but would prefer not to travel so far!

ContractQuestion · 17/07/2023 18:31

A relative has got an email saying off the waitlist for London.... but when you go in its only VIP tickets left 😔.

Ashleigh42 · 17/07/2023 18:33

The VIP tickets that are left are they just the £600+ ones?

ContractQuestion · 17/07/2023 18:34

Yes ! For both dates they're offering

SummaLuvin · 17/07/2023 18:34

Think it's been said upthread, but word from European sales is that while they are trying to flog tickets for £662 but when it becomes clear they won't go at that price they are slowly downgrading them from VIP to face value tickets. So don't lose hope with tickets and intermittently check as you might get lucky.

BrandySlap · 17/07/2023 18:53

I hear that one of the great things about TS is that she is relatable and all about the fans. So why are they pushing these overpriced packages??

MirandaWest · 17/07/2023 19:02

I got moved off the waitlist for Wembley and found just VIP tickets but will keep looking in case it changes.

GellerYeller · 17/07/2023 19:40

I was trying from Monday to Wednesday last week in the presale via AXS. I got blocked as a bot, couldn’t get my data to work in the office and had to go home to try again. I ended up taking whatever tickets were first offered rather than going back to try for better seats.
The VIP tickets seem very expensive and as a PP said, only of benefit if you want front standing in many cases. I wonder if it’s dynamic pricing by stealth. In the USA the price of even basic seats rises in accordance with demand DURING the sale. So a £100 seat in an upper tier can rocket after it’s in your basket. Ticketmaster say it’s to put scalpers off.
Interestingly, Taylor’s European support, Paramore, have been quite vocal about having limited control over what they felt were overpriced tickets for their own shows recently.

christmastreefarm · 17/07/2023 19:54

@Jigslaw I'd be interested to know that too. I had assumed would be 25/30% presale but like you I now reckon more like 50%

Oh that's cool! I wonder if anyone has had I didn't even bother checking for that. (I didn't) but will check again tomorrow.

I read that 200000 were available in presale and 800000 in general sale. So a 20/80 split

AngeloMysterioso · 17/07/2023 21:33

For a global megastar’s 3-ish hour show, with a production on the scale of this one, plus Paramore supporting (tickets for their shows probably go for around £60 I’d guess, maybe even more) the ticket prices are actually pretty reasonable.

wonderstuff · 17/07/2023 22:21

Dd has worked out she’ll be 16 next Aug so doesn’t actually need a parent so looks like I’m not going 😭 kids grow up far too quickly! She’s the only person in her group with a code so she’s stressing about it a bit. Got her TM account all set up for Wed. At least a) she’s got a small chance and b) both dates are post gcse.

Make sure she uses her card to purchase then. Ticketmaster have made the U.K. tour a lead booker event so she will need to show photo ID matching the card on the night.
