Taylor codes- Are you ready for it?

Just starting a thread now in case codes start coming out at midnight or something crazy! I’m already nervous, can’t imagine what it’ll be like trying to get tickets!

When people start getting codes, update and let us know when they arrived and how you got them?

4 package seats!!! Wow how much was that? Was it all that was left??

Do people's codes only work for one day?

@fuckmyuteruslining I did notice on AXS it did say under the T&Cs that the merch from the VIP tickets wasn't guaranteed to arrive before the show date which I thought was fairly poor

Earlier this year, we went to see Giovanni Pernice on tour, and he was selling a tote bag, drink bottle, postcards and magnets for £25. I was a bit shocked that Taylors packages weren't using anything more than that!

I was 2500(ish) in the queue at 11am. Got offered restricted view which I didn't want to released them and couldn't get anything.

Went back in to the 1pm sale and was 1500(ish) in the queue. Got offered level 2 seats for £200 but went with section 506 for £90 instead. If it was just me I probably would have gone for the more expensive ones but it's not affordable for my gig buddies.

@thebellagio the seats were just over 300 each. It's a lot but we don't do this sort of thing ever, this is special and I was keen to get it for my girls. We have family we can stay with so not so expensive that way. But it's a lot. Our seats look quite decent i think

Agree re the delivery date but I guess it will be a nice treat afterwards.

Completely get it- I spent more than I meant to but it will be Xmas present and they'll be so pleased.

Good rhe seats are good. I read on here about people buying expensive vip/package seats that weren't actually good seats!

That's nuts. We're sideish but not directly side.

Some of the £600 packages I saw are right at the back, top tier. I'd be fuming - surely the value is in the seat rather than the merch they add on.

I cant even join the waiting room until 15 mins after the sale starts

Was offered 2 for £1300 plus. Stupid money.

Thats awful. Especially as the value of the merch must be less than £40-£50

I tried my best all 3 times. Its back to saying I'm a bot now lol. I think I would have preferred not getting a code and so not getting my hopes up.

It's no wonder there is such a thriving business in resales. There has to be a better way than this really

How does this ticket process compare to the likes of Harry Styles, Beyonce and Adele? Because it does seem to have been overly complicated

Managed to get Edinburgh x4 through the last time slot. Not sure how anyone on the waitlist was ever going to have a chance.

Harry Styles just puts them on sale normally. Last years concerts were a bit of a bun fight to get tix this years were quite straightforward.

I think it's just as it was such a mess in the US they tried to make it more manageable here, the pre sale went smoothly but seems these sales haven't gone as well so far- lots of seats priced at VIP when this wasn't the case last week and selling out super quick 😞

Finally got tickets in the third Edinburgh sale! There side seated and not the greatest but I’m just happy to know I have some.

Still going to try for Cardiff on Wednesday but I don’t fancy my chances.

Thing is we don't actually know it's lots of VIP seats, we just know that they are the ones selling last and hanging around. And thats not a surprise because who would choose tickets with a marked up price when face value are still available. It could be the same 10 £661 tickets, just that no-one is prepared to spend that so they are left and showing as available. Unless you have seen some data @Jigslaw which I would love to see as I have been so curious about the stats.

I think what is really damaging people in the sales this week is the amount that were sold last week in the presale. Normally I would assume something like that would only have 15% of the tickets, but I'm thinking the presale could have had at least 50%!

There are screen grabs on twitter of the map for Edinburgh taken a few mins after the sale opened which shows loads of seats just at VIP prices. It sounds like this was the case across Europe too and they reverted after a few days to standard prices so I expect the same will happen here, in the pre sale though it was 30 mins or so before all that was left was VIP (even then some shows had standard tickets for hours after!). I'd be so curious to know the ticket splits as well, I actually think potentially more than 50% went on presale looking at timings of when tickets were gone etc.

Normal ticket sales are a rushed stressy shitshow.

This is absolutely stupid. They old way, even though a nightmare, is better. I hope no one ever tries this again, cos its ridiculous. I get the amount of people wanting taylor tickets is potentially more than wanted harry styles, but there has to be a better way than this to stop the severs crashing and limit resales. As this hasnt worked, they are all over viagogo etc for 10 times + face value.

I'm really curious to know some facts and figures too.

How do you know where you are in the queue? I didn't see any numbers but got through pretty quickly.

when we saw Ed Sheeran, you had to be the credit card holder to attend, they checked at the door. Surely that was a better way?

cos the amount on sale from the presale last week for insane prices is just nuts
