Just starting a thread now in case codes start coming out at midnight or something crazy! I’m already nervous, can’t imagine what it’ll be like trying to get tickets!

When people start getting codes, update and let us know when they arrived and how you got them?

If anyone has a code for Edinburgh I would buy it from you! 🙏🙈

Just got an email saying I am off the waitlist for Edinburgh and can now
try for tickets. I don’t want tickets for there now as I have the Cardiff tickets I want but clearly there is movement.

Would you sell your Edinburgh code?

CoffeeMama1 · 18/07/2023 06:16

@NewNovember how does that work with resale then? It's obviously a good idea (although really awkward if circumstances change and a shame tickets will basically get wasted) but with everyone reselling them surely that means buying them is pointless and you still won't get in?

Workquestion11 · 18/07/2023 06:18

My friend got taken off the wait list for Edinburgh but decided tickets were too expensive
I'm desperate for Edinburgh but I doubt I'll be taken off the wait list 😪

Meggie2008 · 18/07/2023 06:29

I got taken off the Edinburgh wait list but all that's left is £660 tickets. I mean I'm a fan but not at that price!

christmastreefarm · 18/07/2023 06:32

@NewNovember

Axs confirmed to me tickets can be transferred. My dd will also be 16 and going solo so I specifically asked.

not possible. The codes are linked to the email address and ticketmaster accounts so they can’t be shared.

wonderstuff · 18/07/2023 06:57

NewNovember · 17/07/2023 23:20

Make sure she uses her card to purchase then. Ticketmaster have made the U.K. tour a lead booker event so she will need to show photo ID matching the card on the night.

Really? She was going to use her dads card! Will have to transfer her some money! What a pain.

BrandySlap · 18/07/2023 08:02

mhchjj · 17/07/2023 23:33

Would you sell your Edinburgh code?

It has to be linked in with my AXS account so I can’t. Otherwise I would give it away free. I cannot bear people trying to make a profit from this stuff.

Jigslaw · 18/07/2023 08:07

AXS have confirmed tickets will be transferable nearer the time, I wouldn't worry.

It's worth keep checking as in Europe the VIP packages were slowly converted back to regular tickets and apparently people managed to get them a few days after the sale started.

MirandaWest · 18/07/2023 08:25

Today I am trying to get tickets on my DDs behalf for Liverpool as she got a code. She’d be going with a friend (and both will be 18 by then). So will be using her axs account but my bank card. I can’t tell from the posts here whether that would be an issue or not (of course trying to get tickets will be the major problem!)

Cramlington567 · 18/07/2023 08:40

Got a code for Liverpool. Dunno whether to get 2 or 4 tickets. If we get 4 and two can only go on the day can we resell the 2 we don't need via ticketmaster? Don't really want to be trying to sell 2 via unofficial channels.

SummaLuvin · 18/07/2023 08:51

this has information on Lead Booker events, it's from TicketMaster but I would presume same rules apply for AXS.

I don't know how enforceable it will be as they have not been transparent on it and seem to have said different things at different times. But anyone buying today I would advise be careful and ensure the card is in the name of an attendee!

christmastreefarm · 18/07/2023 08:54

Well I'm stuffed as my credit card is actually in my maiden name so even I dont have photo ID to match it!

Let's hope AXS offer the transfer they said is possible.

unicornpower · 18/07/2023 09:06

@Cramlington567 you can sell via twickets which is the official ticketmaster reselling site and you can’t sell for extortionate prices either. I bought MCR tickets from there and they transfer via the app! Really good site.

TaylorTickets · 18/07/2023 09:31

People who’ve been taken off the waitlist and offered tickets, is it for any show you want (for the area you chose) or is it for a specific date still?

Is that a lead booker event though. I am not sure if they will allow official reselling either.

I am not sure if they can be sold officially via ticket master best thing to do is to try and find out if Ed Sheeran tickets were allowed to be sold on that way.

thebellagio · 18/07/2023 09:48

We sold Ed Sheeran tickets via the official ticketmaster channel.

but just a word of warning - if you sell via ticketmaster, you don’t get the money until ten days after the show takes place.

I was furious!

we saw him at his homecoming gigs in Ipswich and had tickets for the first night but had to swap as husband double booked himself and LITERALLY everyone I knew was going already. So we asked ticketmaster if we could swap to the last night, they said we could buy new tickets and sell the originals. All sounded good which is what we did. But they didn’t tell us that despite the original tickets selling immediately and TM receiving the money from the buyer, we wouldn’t receive the money until after the gig.

so ticketmaster had £180 of my money for 10 months. Fuckers.

JustLurkingAway · 18/07/2023 09:52

That's unusual, I sold multiple tickets via ticketmaster resale this year & last and received the money within 10 days of them selling each time

Sunflowering · 18/07/2023 09:58

Ticketmaster usually sends you the money quite promptly after you sell- it's not like Stubhub etc as you don't have to transfer anything, it's all done through the site.

Have they actually told you that @thebellagio ? I would complain because it's not what they advertise https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/sell

Do also check they have up to date payment details for you as I know they don't chase you for these and just sit on the money.

thebellagio · 18/07/2023 10:02

@Sunflowering that was back in 2019 so perhaps things had changed. But I was absolutely furious at the time.

In fact I did a happy dance when my code came through and it was for AXS because I've literally never booked anything through TM since because they annoyed me so much.

I got taken off the London waitlist yesterday and could access two London dates

MirandaWest · 18/07/2023 10:10

I resold tickets through TM recently and got payment before the gigs happened

thebellagio · 18/07/2023 10:16

@MirandaWest I'm glad they've changed their ways then! That's how it should be. If you've sold the ticket and the buyer has paid for them you absolutely should get the money straight away!!
