We are together 34 years.

DH> Heading to Waitrose do we need anything ?

No1 Peru chocolate please. My guilty pleasure with my only coffee of the day when I wake up, (keeper that he is he brings me coffee in bed)

DH>. Bloody hell, their asparagus is £20 a kilo. (Context we had been to the farm shop and paid £9 a kilo the day before 😀)

That was at the beginning of May.

Before that it was the beginning of April and we were discussing the Heineken Cup.

There was a thread earlier where the OP was concerned that the number of texts were being dialled back and less intense..

So just pondering……😎

I texted DH to tell him we had two Evri parcels due between 1.30 and 3.30 earlier today. Despite being the most romantic message ever he didn’t reply?! Together 16 years, married for 12.

Ozgirl75 · 23/06/2023 23:48

Ours was him asking if I was home for a chat (he was away) and me saying yes in 5 mins as I was ironing a shirt. On Wednesday. Married 20 years, together 25.
We text lots in the day as he’s away a lot for work at the moment.

SparklyShoesandTutus · 23/06/2023 23:50

An image of a badminton set asking if the DC would like it from DH whilst he was shopping earlier today

Prior to that (Monday) a request to hang the bedding out that they had put in the wash before work

Together 14 years, married 10

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 23/06/2023 23:51

We never have text conversations as dh acts like he's on a pay per word phone tariff so it's things like 'back at 4pm' or ' get milk please.' Last one was 'yes, that's the right BBQ gas, shall I get?'

Been together 35 years .

puffylovett · 23/06/2023 23:51

Ours was discussion about his mum who fell down the stairs and was alone for hours and hours :(
I wish it was bland and unexciting! Normally we text about the teens. Or if we are going to be late home from work.
20 years together

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/06/2023 23:52

Wednesday about broccoli.

As DD is fond of telling me, I used to be cool.

HighEndGrifters · 23/06/2023 23:53

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

Dh is like that taking photos on a mobile, I have to say every time, keep clicking it is free….🙄

Yesterday, sorting out childcare

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/06/2023 23:53

Sorry. Married 14 together 16. I think. About.

Shellsbelles · 23/06/2023 23:53

Married 18 years

yutu · 23/06/2023 23:55

I text him daily, last text was mid day "its time for lunch", he was upstairs working. Together 13 yrs.

RhubarbFairy · 23/06/2023 23:57

He sent me a picture of a Terry's Chocolate Orange and a message with the Slimming World Syn count per segment, and then a picture of Chocolate Orange Fingers and the Syn content pet finger.

I replied 'Fingers please'. He didn't see it and bought both.

He's a good egg, who has the SW app installed so he can check foods for me when he shops (he does the food shopping). He's also amazing at checking that food is vegetarian (me) and palm oil free (DS), and was equally amazing when I was vegan for a few years.

Together 23 years, married 14.

We don't really have steamy or romantic text exchanges, but spoken conversation often includes innuendo.

RichardsGear · 23/06/2023 23:59

Been married twenty years, three kids at home and it's always banal stuff like what to get from the supermarket, practical arrangements etc. Would find it disconcerting if it was anything else now! 😆

WomanManChildDogCat · 24/06/2023 00:01

Our last text convo from today was
Me: had a missed call, think it was school, did they get you?
Him: Yeah, mrsxxx about X. I’m going to co-op do you want anything
getting?

And that is pretty standard

WomanManChildDogCat · 24/06/2023 00:02

Oops forgot to say together 25 yrs

Whattheactualwhatnow · 24/06/2023 00:02

I asked him to renew the kids library books online and when he’d be home, he said 20 mins. That was earlier today, we’ve been married 15 years

TeeBee · 24/06/2023 00:03

God, just realised ours are pure slush. I'll save you the pain of sharing that. We obviously weren't busy enough today.

SchoolNightWine · 24/06/2023 00:05

Ours are mostly nice messages about lunch meet ups or plans for the evening, but my first message looks a bit dodgy🤣 My excuse is I have a weak bladder!!

And cat is obviously a typo😬

junebirthdaygirl · 24/06/2023 00:08

My dh is retired. Messaged today saying he had bumped into friend and they were having coffee so late back. 36 years married and it's usually stuff like that unless one of us is away when it's a bit more chat.

GBoucher · 24/06/2023 00:08

This afternoon when I informed him which horse I was betting on for each race at Royal Ascot. Together 16 years, married 9.
