NO RICE PUDDING. That's what I've just found. No rice pudding. I just fancied some Ambrosia pudding but somehow there is none there. Nobody except me eats the stuff here so it's my fault the last tin used was never replaced. No one to blame but myself. That makes it a million times worse.

Anybody got anything equally earth-shattering to share?

The last two potato cakes in the freezer escaped from their wrapping and have been roaming free. I cooked them anyway but freezer burn has turned them to cardboard. This is very sad.

It’s simple
2oz or 60grams pudding rice
1oz or 30 grams sugar
1 pint of milk
A knob of butter
stir it all together in an enamel tin or oven safe oval dish
sprinkle with nutmeg

cook slowly eg 150c/130c fan for about 2 hours
i like a skin on mine.

Dh made us a coffee. (TY DH) it wasn’t hot enough. As in i could drink it all in one go. He knows I have an asbestos mouth.

I did my first one in my Instant Pot the other day. It was lovely.

SOMEONE (looks hard at daughter) used the last packet of microwave popcorn and put the empty box back into the cupboard. I'd been looking forward to bloody popcorn for two days!

In over 40 something perambulations around the sun, I don't believe I have ever tasted rice pudding.

No! God, don't - you can't comprehend how vomitous it is. It's one of those foods you have to be fed from infancy to actually enjoy. Like rotted shark, or boiled chicken embryo, or french poo sausage. Only worse.

I used to make it in my slow cooker. Rice and milk on for 3-4 hours, perfect

Ooh my granny made the best oven-baked rice pudding. So creamy and nutmeggy and yummy and comforting.

In my kitchen cupboard news of the day, am proud to report that I have a jar of capers in there. It's the first jar of capers I have ever bought.

I love baked rice pudding, but these days usually make it in my pressure cooker done in 10 mins, easy peasy.

I was really craving waffles and maple syrup tonight, so made a stack of waffles only to find I've run out of maple syrup. Nothing else will do, I'm bereft and frustrated.

I had ordered some limited edition caramel latte Daim bars from Iceland. They did not turn up😭

I went past a very posh conditori earlier and the most beautiful cake I've ever seen caught my eye. It was very expensive, around £8 for a single cake. With gorgeous fresh raspberries on top. So I went in and treated myself. Got a rasberry seed caught in my teeth. Flicked it out and half my tooth came with it. So my £8 cake will cost me £308. Gutted!

DH just spotted me troughing some crisps. Now I’m going to have to share them.

Went to the biscuit tin for a biccie to go with my brew....and all the chocolate hobnobs are gone.

Well I don't eat chocolate (except special occasions like hristmas and Easter) for the past year now , I've been an angel and very selective .

We have a tub of Ben&Jerrry;s Chocolate Brownie ice-cream , I tried a couple of spoonfuls,,,,it was a tragedy . More water-ice than ice-cream, I have sullied my face with it .

OMG this was me yesterday! I wanted rice pudding and we didn’t have any.

Healthy me did the shopping this morning. Fat me wants a bar of chocolate but healthy me is a treacherous old woman and didn’t buy any. Booo

Be careful if you don't use sweeteners, some of it has sweeteners instead of sugar.
