@Sausagenbacon - I feel it's more what they didn't defend.

One of the reasons to educate privately in my cases was the policy that the Girls Day School Trust had on gender. That secured a biological girls rights and I am really happy about it. State schools could not and would not match it. The DfE seems to have done nothing, whereas it could be sorted out re simple amendments to the law which aren't being advanced.

I don't like this situation and I'm not impressed that it isn't being addressed. The Tory party can sort this out now. Why isn't it happening?

As far as I could tell for some of the speakers the NatC event was part of their continuing Tory leadership party bid.

Ideas/ideals are powerful. They can become policy. Brexit started as an idea in the heads of a few politicians. Look at us now.

The Lib Dems, the National Health Action Party and the Greens (in the European Parliament elections).

Laws that could in all likelihood be change by statutory instrument by the Education secretary if they so wanted.

But they don't want to because they know what a woman is.
