I am indifferent to the Monarchy but AIBU to think it all feels very weird and drab?

Claire Balding's (love CB btw) is trying very hard to say how 'joyful' it feels and is a special day but it just doesn't seem like usual royal events to me. Just feels very flat. Maybe it's the greyish weather. AIBU?

Between 2020 and 10th May 2023, life satisfaction is at its highest point at 10th May 2023.

Doesn't look like people are so miserable they're clamouring for the Monarchy to be abolished.

Social media including forums encourage echo chambers and a false perception of the national life as a whole.

I found it very boring and Charles looked quite unwell.

I thought it was rather medieval - reminded me of a book called Gormenghast. Princess Charlotte looked pasty and pale in her medieval dress. Charlie looked miserable but that's nothing new. Camilla looked desperate for a fag. Kate looked smug in her royal finery as if to say 'I'm proper aristocratic now'. I felt a bit sorry for Harry and the way he was shunted about, but he won't have to worry about fuel bills, so I'll save my pity and help those that do. I think Charlie could have paid for it. I'd have had more respect for him if he had done. He is so extraordinarily wealthy. A lot of it built on slavery too.

There's a reason it was "rather medieval"....!!
