Godzillaisjusthangry · 01/04/2023 08:32

The daily fail have really gone after Thomas Cashman's partner in the paper today, painting her as a gangsters moll.

Do you think she really knew what he was up to? What's the feeling in Liverpool towards her?

AIBU to feel sorry for his kids and wonder what kind of life they will have now? his son and daughter are also victims in this horrible tragedy now. It's so sad.

Life with a 42 year minimum term.

frustratednomad · 03/04/2023 15:56

42 years, if he lives that long.

Over40Overdating · 03/04/2023 15:59

And the judge is very clear he is not of previous good character and there is no mitigation to be found in his history.

There is no way he will live long enough to serve his full term, whether by his own hand or someone else’s.

I hope his children have some decent people in their lives to lead them down a better road than their parents.

With 250k on his head, it's going to be worth someone taking a shot.

Bookist · 03/04/2023 16:45

For those idiots on here who are trying to defend this murderers actions. How low must your bar be that you are prepared to defend the murderer of a little girl in order to feel a tenuous moral superiority.

girlfriend44 · 03/04/2023 16:49

Why, just why can't we send out a really strong message and jail him forever.

He deserves it and its good for other drug dealers to know this could happen to them. Its like we are afraid to be too hard on people.

Sarahconnor1 · 03/04/2023 16:53

It's already effectively a whole life tariff, 70 odd years old before he can even apply for parole.

This way the judge had made it much more difficult for him to appeal his sentence

Whole life orders are very very rare. There are strict crietira for that.

I think life with 42 years minimum is actually pretty strong and fitting sentence tbh

PomRuns · 03/04/2023 16:56

250k on head - gosh. Is there a link?

ThePoshUns · 03/04/2023 16:57

Whole life tariffs were abolished a few years ago sadly.

ThePoshUns · 03/04/2023 16:58

SpreadableCheeseOnEverything · 03/04/2023 15:22

I think the police seem to see most criminals as 'loveable rogues'

No they bloody don't

😂 i know. Imagine genuinely believing no one pointed out she is wearing colour picked for funeral of the girl he boyfriend, who she stands by, killed.

This is not even an adorable naivety, people.

I'd think that pink is pretty much the default colour for girls, rather than black. And it's a fashionable colour in clothes/makeup/nails in the 'beautician' look.

I think it's too much of a reach to think that she decided specifically because it was used for her funeral.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 03/04/2023 17:13

God there really are some truly stupid people on this planet
or goady
or both

If she was happy to stand by her partner and support him you'd think she'd have the minerals to read or see about Olivia in the media, therefore she would know. Even if she didn't purposefully chose it ignorance is also vile.

User98866 · 03/04/2023 17:18

What a nasty little coward he is. At least the whole world knows it now.

User98866 · 03/04/2023 17:22

And I wish his nasty scummy family won’t be able to show their faces in Liverpool again.

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 03/04/2023 17:25

A good sentencing result.

I wonder if the girlfriend will still be standing by her man now that she knows he’ll basically be spending the rest of his life in prison. I predict a few prison visits, with her using the occasion to dress as a glamorous WAG, and then trying to quietly dump him.

SpreadableCheeseOnEverything · 03/04/2023 17:33

@ThePoshUns of course they do! You only have to watch police documentaries on TV to see how the worse the criminal the more the police arse lick them

PomRuns · 03/04/2023 18:20

Thanks @Bluebellwood129

I guess the prison will protect him - isolation for 42 years ??

She knew exactly what she was doing when she wore that coat, her scummy family were all over social media when he was first arrested hurling the vilest abuse at anyone who wasn’t declaring him innocent.
The are scum, looking down on others in the school playground because the wages they earn as a nurse or office worker don’t pay enough to have designer handbags. You see them in restaurants and bars in Liverpool sneering at other girls and looking their outfits up and down. They are vile to waiting staff and will frequently cause scenes because they are not getting priority service or the best tables.
They are not meek and mild threatened women at all, the complete opposite.

How exactly do you work that out?

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 03/04/2023 19:15

''Sentencing him in absentia at Manchester Crown Court, Mrs Justice Amanda Yip said drug dealer Cashman was "not of previous good character", had made it clear he was a criminal and had "demonstrated no remorse".

Which was obvious. Apparently they're looking at or maybe a rumour making to so people have to come and hear their sentences rather then hide..Good if so the utter coward!

mommatoone · 03/04/2023 19:19

@SpreadableCheeseOnEverything - your comment shows how totally naive you are.
Have you ever sat in an interview room across the table from a murderer or rapist? .
Do you think Police actual like these scum, Or 'lick their arses'?
The answer is no - but as a cop,you cant show that can you, cos these fuckers will just shut down and not speak a word.
Think about it.
