The daily fail have really gone after Thomas Cashman's partner in the paper today, painting her as a gangsters moll.

Do you think she really knew what he was up to? What's the feeling in Liverpool towards her?

AIBU to feel sorry for his kids and wonder what kind of life they will have now? his son and daughter are also victims in this horrible tragedy now. It's so sad.

I raise this issue each time people boast on here about drug use, they always justify it as 'I get mine from a bloke down the road who only grows for him', its all rubbish and each step of the rung is involved in various drugs, both legal and illegal used for recreation purposes, exploitation of children, prostitution, violence, death.

Well said. I find it bizarre that people don't realise this.

Even if she minimised it in her head as just a supply and demand thing - people want drugs so Cashman was supplying them - surely the minute your partner shoots dead a child as part of his day’s work is the minute you walk away. You don’t turn up at court everyday and cry that he’s been framed. No sympathy - she’s either thick or devoid of conscience.

Their son is 14 years old and will already be surrounded by family members telling him how great his Dad is and that’s the way to live. What chance does he have of a normal life, training to be an electrician or IT engineer or something when you have that legacy hanging over you? Who does he know outside the inner circle that leads a decent, honest life, the kind that his family and friends would look down on because you can’t buy flash motors and watches on an ordinary salary.

Renting is probably a good way of laundering money..They would have to prove source of income for a house purchase, guess that is a bit difficult from drug money

My hat is really off for the brave woman who came forward to help with the conviction. She is bloody amazing.

May I ask what Merseyside Police Force are doing to apprehend these crime syndicates that operate in plain sight. I am surprised that in this day and age where so many people who live in Liverpool are well aware of these organised criminal gangs operating at great risk and intimdation to the general public but the police have no balls to bring them to book.

Are the Merseyside police a waste of space and hot air? I look forward to posters who can defend them because I am not informed on the law enforcement side of the story.

For gods sake @blueshoes There is a massive problem with cocaine use in Liverpool and everyone who uses it is responsible for these vicious turf wars. Merseyside police are useless but they are right about this.

A considerable number of the a Merseyside police force are on the Christmas card lists of the gang members.

The woman who testified is incredibly brave. She's turned her life upside down to see justice done.

You need evidence and people willing to take the stand to testify.
Not many will stand up and risk their, and their families lives.

The woman who testified in this trial will have to be in Witness Protection for the rest of her life.

It’s not the point. She thought she was posting proof and she was doing nothing of the sort. The fact his wife used to date a drug dealer when she was in her late teens doesn’t prove what the pp thought it did!

Have you read the article? Steven Gerrard has his own associations with gangsters. He even provided a character reference in court for one. There's long been rumours in Liverpool about his wife's relationship with a well known gangster. And more recently he was pictured with his daughters boyfriends gangster father in a bar in Ibiza.

Yep you're right. I live on the Merseyside/West Lancs border and there's loads of gangsters living the 'naice' areas where a lot of footballers also live. Their kids all go to the same private schools.
