Live 'daytime/morning' tv... is all so very very fake, last minute, cobbled together behind the scenes, rife with nepotism and 'not what you know, who you know'... I don't really bother with it unless someone I know is going to be on (and then I watch their bit recorded later)..
I can't imagine being the sort of person who can do that job, long term presenter, of something so very precarious, frantic, and fudged together - and thats before you add in the nasty characters who have swept their histories under the rug or invented new ones, that you'd have to work with.
Imagine having to interview experts who are often not experts at all, on subjects you know precisely fuck all about, topics that typically want an hours discussion but you've got to jam the 'expert' into 2 minutes, avoid them saying anything dreadful (though, give you know fuck all about it, thats pretty much impossible) and then move on to the next bit of fluff, whilst sitting beside someone or about to cut to someone you know to be at best a massive creep...
And then doing that over and over for several hours every bastarding day...
Ugh. You'd either have to have zero imagination and a very low IQ or, just not care at all, or it would melt your brain I think!
