It’s just quite odd…all this with Philip Schofield, then Alison Hammond was brought in, talk of blackmail in the news and she’s not on this week anymore…what on earth goes on over there 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was just weird…it doesn’t feel comfortable watching it…wonder if Holly will come back

OMG there are some drama llamas here!

Can't say I am a PS fan by any means (or HW), don't watch TM because I have an actual job at that time of the day, and tolerate them on DOI.

However, people - em, facts???! PS came out. He'd been married for a long time to a woman, and he'd essentially lied by omission. He's far from the only one, certainly in his generation. Wife (while no doubt heartbroken) and children still close to him. Whatever. Rumours??? Just that. I've had awful rumours about me way back in the day, which were utter bullshite and categorically untrue - almost to the point of being laughable. And I am far from being in the public eye.

HW has supported PS throughout. They work together, have worked together for years, the families holiday together. No obvious reason why she should lie about having shingles to get a week off (before she joins him again presumably next week!)??

PS took time off during what must have been a very stressful time for his family - wouldn't you? He is not his brother's keeper. He could have gone to the police all he wanted - they wouldn't have taken him under their notice if the victim had not made a complaint. He had his elderly mother to consider as well. He couldn't pre-judge the outcome of the trial, even if he was pretty sure what it was going to be.

It was his brother on trial, not PS. Would you be content to lose your job because of the crimes of your sibling?? And of course he didn't want to dwell on it when he returned. He's stated his case, whether or not you think it's genuine is neither here nor there.

But hey, why let the facts get in the way of a great story? If there's dirt to come out, it will do, it always does in the end. Some of you should have a great career in creative writing though. There was no reason whatsoever, from what is in the public domain, why PS shouldn't return to work today, brass necks be damned. If you have evidence to the contrary, then share it in the appropriate channels.

Anything else is just scurrilous gossip and pure speculation.

Inkanta · 18/04/2023 08:13

letthemalldoone Bollox rationalisation for PS doing nothing to safeguard a child from sexual exploitation from a 54 year old man.

Butidontwanttogotoarobbieconcert · 18/04/2023 09:43

@letthemalldoone Are you actually serious?

I don't think anyone is arguing with him taking time off, most would just prefer it was extended for a longer period of time, like forever.

Obviously no one knows the whole truth about him and the runner but this really seems like a case of no smoke without fire, and the way he made his coming out interview all about him despite his family (and potentially a young nan) being the real victims was very self absorbed.

Add that on to the fact (which is a fact as it was confirmed in court) that he didn't report his brother, people are quite within their rights to want him off their TV's.

Picoloangel · 18/04/2023 11:58

I see PA has joined the thread

OP: I don't want This Morning because I have an actual job

Also OP: writes a massive long post about Phillip Schofield at the exact same time This Morning is on

Badger1970 · 18/04/2023 13:00

😂that's the funniest comment on the entire thread @letthemalldoone

He "came out" like a hero because a story was about to be made public that he managed to silence with a super injunction. Decent people don't have to take these out that often oddly enough....

Inkanta · 18/04/2023 13:23

Yes well within their rights. The job/role as a presenter also requires some moral agency when dealing with social issues on the programme.

Also, yes I expect he will be subdued if no one is affirming him. Holly for instance is looking after herself right night and isn't there to massage his ego.

I knew all the gossips would come out to play 🙄

Not that it's any of your fucking business, but I was on leave when I posted before. Would you like me to provide you with my manager's email so that you can check up on that?😒

I couldn't give a shiny shite about any of them but I am just as entitled to comment as any of you gossiping rumour-mongers. You are actually pathetic. Posting speculation that you have no evidence to support. I am really surprised that MN have left this thread up.

I'm glad to have amused you though @Badger1970. Can you supply a source of evidence of this injunction, or is it true because you say so??? Any wonder I prefer animals to humans! I absolutely HATE the bitching that goes on, when you don't have a shred of evidence. And I would say that about anyone, whether or not I liked them. It's a disgusting way to behave, and if you had any conscience at all, you would be ashamed of yourselves.

You won't though, because you thrive on the nastiness. Maybe acquaint yourself with some facts for once, not just what you have made up.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 23/04/2023 11:32

Interesting article on MoL today. If he’s lost that paper, it doesn’t look good.

Tidsleytiddy · 23/04/2023 13:03

Let’s hope he fucks off soon

OneFrenchEgg · 23/04/2023 13:06

I don't believe he's paying £30k a week for a super injunction. That's just mad. A decent PR form for image management would do better.
I mean for a year that's £1.5 million.

Nopetryagain · 23/04/2023 17:22

Nobody would be paying £30k a week for a super injunction. That isn’t how they work. If a court grants an injunction, super or otherwise, it stands unless and until a court lifts it. It’s not ‘pay as you go’!

Butidontwanttogotoarobbieconcert · 23/04/2023 18:50

@YellowAndGreenToBeSeen Whats Mol and what piece of paper?

OP posts:
YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 23/04/2023 18:51

Mail on Line - the paper.

Hellenabe · 23/04/2023 18:59

I think it's like Harvey Weinstein. One minute you are protected, then you aren't. I think Phil has lost his sheen and a pp is right, how can he possibly interview victims of abuse given what he's hidden. I wonder whether he will try and retire soon, or be retired.

Yes this explains better what I meant. Like ppl think he's paying some kind of retainer or something

lollipoprainbow · 24/04/2023 11:57

Everything back to normal Phil has got his spring back in his step now his beloved holly is back by his side.
